Wayne and his excellent team have just refurbished a bungalow for us including supplying and installing a wet room and additional separate toilet and wash basin. This involved moving a Wall, removing existing bathroom fittings, fitting new ceiling, replastering and tiling both rooms I asked them to remove polystyrene tiles from two ceilings and this revealed damp patches. Wayne quickly organised a roofer to check cause and fortunately it turned out to be a minor Problem which they rectified. Damp insulation material was removed and replaced and the Ceilings replastered. The internal walls were replastered. The kitchen was removed and Walls plastered. Wayne put me in touch with a kitchen designer who has done an excellent Job. I have an amazing kitchen in a small space and it works really well. Wayne also put me in touch with a flooring company and they have supplied and fitted carpets Into the rooms as the rooms were completed. All of the building work, including kitchen fitting Was done in 2.1/2 weeks. This is the second job This team have done for me and I highly recommend th
How long does an extension take?
How long your extension takes will depend on its size and complexity. A single story rear extension will usually take around three months to complete, whilst a double story extension may take up to six months. When you request a quote for your extension, your property extension specialist will be able to give you an estimate of how long your extension will take to complete.
How much value will an extension add to my property?
The value that an extension will add to your property will depend on how much extra space you are gaining and how much of the garden will remain. The majority of the time, an extension will add value to your property. Try looking on sites such as Rightmove and Zoopla at the prices of similar properties in your area to get an idea of how much value an extension could add to your property.
How can I pay for a home extension?
Most people pay for a home extension using their savings. If you need a small amount of extra money, you may be able to use a credit card or take out a loan to fund your home improvements. Another popular option is to remortgage your home, reducing your share in the property. This will free up funds which can be used to extend your property. It’s best to get independent financial advice to find the right way forward for funding your extension.
