Luksa Music profile image

Luksa Music

Although the complexity of music has been considered overwhelming and perhaps demotivating for beginners, I help with breaking those barriers by offering a structured piano course that starts from learning how to read the notes to mastering advanced pieces of music. I provide additional content about theoretical aspects to understand the terminology and music development more broadly. The content applies to any genre and helps with songwriting and improvising, but it also speeds up the process of learning any piece of music. I have been playing piano for 13 years, but music theory has made my journey significantly easier. In my spare time, I compose and improvise all styles of music, whether to impress the audience or simply for my own pleasure. The sense of freedom to play whatever and whenever I want is invaluable and this is something I'm striving to teach hobbyists and other aspiring musicians. My students choose their area of focus: classical or pop/rock/jazz. I provide them with all the PowerPoint and pdf materials, which include the music theory, interactive worksheets, and music sheets. Either way, every lesson starts with warming up through exercises with scales that increase the finger activity and speed up the process of practicing. The quality of my keyboard performances has been evident in organ playing at the national competition in 2017 where I achieved the national champion title. The first lesson is free of charge and you can plan the lessons according to your schedule and convenience (please refer to the price listed below): 60 minutes - £20 (Highly recommended!) 45 minutes - £17 30 minutes - £12 My piano performance can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNgLBvLJKk4&list=RDXNgLBvLJKk4&start_radio=1

What do you love most about your job?

Music has always played a major part in my life through teaching, performing, and composing. Seeing students' results and improvement with each lesson brings me happiness and a desire to keep growing as a tutor. My students join the lessons seeking entertainment and relaxation, which makes my job fun and stress-free!

What inspired you to start your own business?

I was inspired by the unique way of education in which I focused on theoretical aspects like harmony, music analysis, and musicology. This scholar system resulted in the opportunity to perform any song of my interest based on my aural skills rather than relying on the score. My enthusiasm for teaching the same techniques has been growing ever since as I understand that there are many hobbyists seeking piano lessons in a new stylish way.

Why should our clients choose you?

I'm striving to provide a method of tutoring where my students not only play the notes in front of them but also comprehend the pieces in many ways during their performances. For instance, additional learning about chords, melodies, and scales helps them with practicing but also develops the awareness of stylistic differences between classical and contemporary pop music. This music theory is offered for free in my piano course as it encourages the students to outline their individualities as musicians.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

My teaching business is entirely based online. Although it might raise concerns among some students, I can assure you that it's as good as in face-to-face. All that's needed is a camera and a good wi-fi connection. It offers many advantages as it saves time and money from travelling and also makes everyone comfortable in their own environment.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

As my teaching is focused solely online, my students are completely safe from Covid-19 as they stay at home.
