Throughout my life, coming home to my own animals has always been the highlight of my day, and working with animals is so rewarding. There's never been a time in my career when I've not worked with animals! My job allows me to interact with so many lovely animals, and it's nice to be able to make a difference to their lives, whether we're providing exercise, enrichment, or TLC.
I've worked with animals since 2005, and studied the National Diploma in Animal Management, gaining a triple distinction grade and an outstanding achievement award, which providing me with valuable experience and knowledge. I was recommended for a job at a boarding kennels and cattery, where Luke was also later employed, which provided us with experience of working with a wide variety of pets. We wanted to be able to provide owners with more options for pet services, allowing the animals to either remain in their own home environment, or to board within our home (for a select few dogs), so took the leap and created Amity Pet Care. Over 11 years later, we know we made the right decision!
Amity Pet Care are far more than just 'animal lovers', and we believe that pet owners should be able to leave their beloved animals in 'qualified hands' which is why we dedicate so much of our own time to continue our education in animal care, health, and behaviour through various CPD courses and events. We're full-time, professional animal carers, and this is what we are passionate about. We're covered by extensive, specialist insurance, for all aspects of our work, we're five star licensed by Reigate and Banstead Borough Council, and have won numerous awards. We're a small company, which allows the animals to bond with, and become familiar with us. We're available 7 days a week, including over holiday periods, and have 'out of hours' service options.
Most of our services take place remotely, however, we're able to conduct consultations via video call, and the whole registration process is online.
Our registration process is entirely carried out virtually, meaning no direct contact with clients is required. We ask all clients to complete our COVID Declaration Form before service commences, and we kindly request clients don't have any additional visitors to the property (eg, cleaners) whilst they're away.
