Sitter4pets Pet and House Sitting Services

South Yorkshire

Sitter4pets Pet and House Sitting Services was established in 2003. The business owner, Eleanor, has gained many years experience with pet sitting by looking after a wide variety of pets. Her loyal clients continue to benefit from this service which is adaptable to each of their pet's needs. Due to high demands in bookings, we have now become a small team of 3 qualified and experienced sitters. This professional pet sitting service allows all of your pets to stay in the safety and comfort of their own home. A qualified sitter resides at your home, including overnight for the duration of your absence, providing you with complete peace of mind. Each of your pet's routines are strictly adhered to together with general maintenance of your home such as plants watered, bins taken out, post collected and regular security checks completed. We also offer a Pop In Service where we visit your home for a couple of times per day to check on pet's such as cats, birds, reptiles, rodents and fish. Each sitter is qualified, insured, DBS checked and pet first aid certified. Please visit our website for more information and to make a booking. www.sitter4pets.co.uk

What do you love most about your job?

I love meeting new people and staying in different places. I thoroughly enjoy caring for a wide range of different pets too.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have always wanted to work for myself as I am very independent. An opportunity came up in 2002 which changed my life and that's how I started looking after pet's in their owners home.

Why should our clients choose you?

I am extremely experienced and well educated with caring for many types of pets. I am very conscientious, reliable and trustworthy. I am very interested in computers and have created all my own forms to gather all the information I need to care for peoples pets. I like to use automated systems to allow me to send paperwork, invoices, bookings etc which frees up my time so I can concentrate on the pets that i am caring for.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

My services are only in person. I move around from one home to the next and stay there including overnight. This means that the pet does not have to go to a boarding kennel or someone else's home and stay in a strange place without you.

I do help people with dog behaviour issues such as jumping up, fussing eaters, pulling on the lead and these can be offered online.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I have not been working since March 2020 due to Covid-19. My clients have been unable to go away on holiday due to these lockdowns. I have been looking for alternative ways of bringing in income and I enjoy offering Laughter Yoga classes online and giving Distant Reiki treatments.

If you would like more information about these online sessions then please feel free to visit www.eleanoroates.co.uk

Many people choose to use a pet sitter for the knowledge that their pet is in safe and caring hands. Many pet sitters are happy to regularly communicate with you by sending photos and videos, so you know your pet is being cared for while you’re away. Hiring a pet sitter to look after your pet in your own home also means that you won’t have to transport your pet or worry about them being in a new environment.

The decision between hiring a dog sitter or using kennels is a personal choice and depends largely on your dog’s temperament. Dogs who are prone to being lonely or nervous often prefer to be cared for by a dog sitter in their own home as they enjoy the close and personal contact. If you choose to put your dog in kennels, you’ll also need to ensure that your dog is vaccinated against kennel cough.

The best way to ensure that your pet sitter is reputable and trustworthy is through recommendations from previous customers. When you hire a pet sitter on Bark, you can browse the profiles of local professionals and read genuine reviews from former clients to ensure that you’re choosing the right carer for your pet.
