Having endured several months of severe back pain, it was with some scepticism that I opted to try the “non evasive” Deep Oscillation Therapy @ Jayne Burbidge Therapies. Within a few weeks of receiving my first treat I was amazed to find that the chronic back pain I had suffered for many months started to ease. Within a very short period my flexibility and movement improved dramatically and I have seen consistent improvement week by week. Jayne took great care in understanding and explaining the advantages of this form of treatment which was carried out with great care & expertise. Her methodical and professional approach has made the whole experience relaxing, beneficial and assisting in getting back to a pain free future. I would have no hesitation in recommending this treatment and Jayne Burbidge Therapies to anyone that suffers from a similar condition. She is a first class operator who delivers

When I was 7 I had a lobe of my left lung removed because of Bronchiectasis- a condition where excess phlegm is continually created, which causes me to continually cough up phlegm. Due to this condition I was more prone to lung and chest infections than most people. My doctor would prescribe antibiotics each time, which resulted in me feeling 'wiped out, depressed and weepy' for about a month.I first saw Altair for Acupuncture in September, several years ago when I had had 7 courses of antibiotics for chest infections, in 7 months. I was in a desperate state. After my Acupuncture treatment I didn't have another chest infection until February, 6 months later. When I saw my doctor, he said it was just 'coincidence' that the bugs didn't get me, nothing to do with Acupuncture. I know different now. It was because my immune system had been greatly improved through Altair's treatment and advice. He has helped me immensely to do simple mental and physical exercises that have enabled me to become more confident in myself. My daughter has often remarked how well I cope with stresses, that in the past would have created havoc with my health. Through his advice my diet etc has improved, and I know what to avoid which in the past would have weakened my health. I would highly recommend Altair for his great experience in the health field, and his ability to help people across the board, but especially those like me with serious chronic health problems.Audrey Bevan, House wife, Worcester

Hi Pip,
I wish to thank you for the 3 hour courses of Distant Reiki.
On my first session I felt pulsing in my head and went into a dream. On the further sessions I also began feeling warmth in my stomach with a burning sensation. I operate a business and times have been stressful and after these sessions I found a calming feeling and yet within the following days and weeks I became energised. This has been a tremendous help and for anyone who is in a position with responsibility, Thank you so much Pip to check this out as the unbelievable benefits of Distant Reiki in the comfort of my home via a WhatsApp connection helped me.
I wish you and your clients untold benefits.
Kind regards
Alex

I had a deep tissue massage with Jaimie to address the tension and pain in my upper back and shoulders from bad posture and I must say it was one of the best massages I had and my shoulders felt lighter and my back more upright immediately after the treatment. I intend to return frequently until my issue is fully resolved. The value and service is also excellent and pricing very competitive.

At Ayurveda Pain Care Clinic we will do manipulation & Ayurveda therapy otherwise known as Marma Therapy combined in a tradition way and we are the only Ayurveda Clinic in the UK who does both therapies together. Traditional Manipulation is practiced in India very rarely because this special technique is only been taught to the family members or very close students. Mr. J. Lukose received a golden opportunity to learn this technique from a traditional marma teacher based in Kerala, India. He learnt modern manipulation from UK also; therefore he believes that the Combination of Manipulation and Ayurveda therapies are going to be very effective and more beneficial. This is because, after manipulation, if you do Ayurveda therapies it will help living tissue to respond better to the persuasive joint-stretching techniques of mobilisation to free a joint progressively over a period of time, rather than to a sudden quick thrust or only massage. Manipulation is correcting the bone positions and Ayurveda Therapy help muscles and nerves.
I am only providing Kerala Ayurveda Marma treatments with Yoga Therapy
How much does a Massage Therapist cost?
Prices depend on the duration, location, the type of massage and any additional services such as aromatherapy.
Your expert Massage Therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of services available and will be able to help you select the best massage for your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a masseuse today.
What types of massages does a Massage Therapist offer?
Swedish massage - This is a gentle type of full body massage that is ideal for people who have a lot of tension, are sensitive touch and are new to massage. It can help to release muscle knots and is a good choice if you want to fully relax during your treatment.
Hot stone massage - Hot stone massage is best for people who have muscle pain and tension or who simply want to relax. The massage therapist uses heated stones in lieu of or in addition to their hands.
Aromatherapy massage - Aromatherapy massages are best for people who want to have an emotional healing component to their massage. Aromatherapy massages combine soft, gentle pressure with the use of essential oils. Essential oils are diluted before being applied to the skin.
Deep tissue massage - Deep tissue massage uses more pressure than a Swedish massage. It is a good option if you have chronic muscle problems such as soreness, injury or imbalance.
Sports massage - Sports massage is a good option if you have a repetitive use injury to a muscle such as what you may get from playing a sport. It’s also a good option if you are prone to injuries because it can be used to help prevent sports injuries.
Trigger point massage - Trigger point massages are best suited for people who have injuries, chronic pain, a specific issue or condition. Sometimes areas of tightness in the muscle tissues, known as trigger points can cause pain in other parts of the body. By focusing on relieving trigger points, this type of massage can reduce pain.
Reflexology - Reflexology is a great option for people who are looking to relax or restore their natural energy levels. It is also a good option if you aren’t comfortable being touched on your entire body. Reflexology uses gentle to firm pressure on different pressure points of feet, hands or ears.
Shiatsu massage - Shiatsu massage is best for people who want to feel relaxed and relieve stress, pain and tension.
Thai massage - Thai massage is best for people who want a more active form of massage and want to reduce and relieve pain and stress.
Prenatal massage - Prenatal massage can be a safe way for women to get a massage during pregnancy. It can help reduce pregnancy body aches, reduce stress and ease muscle tension.
Couple’s massage - A couple’s massage is a massage that you do with your partner, friend or family member in the same room. Other treatments such as pedicures, facials, and body scrubs are sometimes offered as part of a package.
Chair massage - A chair massage is best for people who want a quick massage that focuses on your neck, shoulders and back. A chair massage can also be a way to introduce you to massage if you have never had one before. This type of massage uses light to medium pressure.
What should I consider before deciding on my massage therapist?
There are a number of factors that are worth considering before choosing your masseuse.
Choice – It is important to consider why you want a massage. Do you want to find relief from chronic pain or are you just looking for a way to relax? Deciding why you want to get a massage will help you narrow down your options and find the right massage therapist.
Comfort- Getting a massage is a great way to relax both physically and mentally. It is easier to take advantage of this benefit when you feel totally comfortable. That is why you should find a massage therapist that makes you feel comfortable and at ease.
Recommendations – You are likely to have at least one friend or family member that has visited a professional massage therapist and read their reviews on Bark.
You can be confident that any of the Bark local massage therapists listed will give you a relaxing and therapeutic massage.
How do I check the Massage Therapists’ credentials?
You could look for massage therapists with a Level 3 Diploma in Massage or Complementary Therapies. The Council for Soft Tissue Therapies (GCMT) is the governing body for massage therapy and recommends that all massage therapists have taken a full or part-time course.
Before you choose a massage therapist, you could read testimonials and read details of their services on their website.
You could also look at their profile page on Bark and read massage reviews from past customers too. This might also help you get some ideas for the type of massage you want to book.
