Will raise a smile and leave 'em laughing! Clown Lorralaughs entertain children with silly comedy clown magic shows, balloon modelling, face painting, party games, competitions and party dances. With 30 years experience and a wide range of shows to suit every budget from a 30 minute show to a three hour show - he is busy supplying a large and varied client list with good children's entertainment. Performing as a clown, a jester, a white rabbit, a builder, a wizard and as Father Christmas - he has kept his audiences amused and thrilled at over 4000 parties and events. If you need a children's entertainer who tickles the funny bone and is above all entertaining and uplifting - then look no further. The centrepiece of the show is a thirty minute zany, high energy comedy magic show with a comedy routine with slap stick & laughter, shouting, humour and lots and lots of audience participation. The programme of magical entertainment is intelligently delivered - with the focus on fun, laughter and instilling some good values ~ the magic words are '..please & thank you' and ..' super sorry'. The birthday person is the star helper and will receive an attractive gift bag with a high quality gift and birthday card - two other helpers are used in two additional tricks - both receive prizes - show has a touch of the 'pantomime palavers' with lot's of audience participation. Or to put it another way: Once upon a time in a land not very far away - there lived a very downtrodden and impoverished children's entertainer called Lorralaughs The Clown. His luck has run out and everything that could go wrong is going wrong. His coat won't stay on the coat peg on the wall, none of the girls want to marry him and worst of all - all of his magic tricks are not working. There are tears, tantrums and fit's of frustration but Lorralaughs can get nothing to work. Finally in desperation he turns to the children and begs them to be his friend and work their magic on his tricks. With a lot of 'hey presto' & 'Ali-kazam' and finger wiggling - the children deliver their magic and sparkle and save Clown Lorralaughs from a very sticky end - the magic finally works and our favorite underdog lives to clown another day.

What do you love most about your job?

Seeing new people and new places and giving the children a fantastic time and sending them home happy!

What inspired you to start your own business?

Got dragged down into the doldrums working for a large business......wanted more freedom and creativity and autonomy................

Why should our clients choose you?

I am very experienced and have been entertaining children since 1987 so I am low risk and time tested and I have worked hard at being excellent at my time keeping & customer relations.......but I am still improving........... I have completed two on-line courses during 2018 on face painting and achieved distinctions in both courses and have attended two one day participation courses on face painting in Essex & also attended one course on balloon modelling in October 2018 in Enfield and two Professional Santa Claus training courses one in Ely, Cambridgeshire in June 2018 & one in Leicester in November 2018..........I am also spending a lot of time on 'youtube' learning new balloon models, face paint designs and learning more magical tricks & clowning ideas ~ I have also attended two circus's during 2018 looking to learn some new ideas for my clown shows........I am striving to improve the variety and quality of the entertainment I offer my very valued customers.........

Magicians won’t give much away - that’s the nature of their job after all! But one thing you should be certain of when hiring a magician is whether they’ll be worth your money. The best way to assess your magician’s ability and skill is by viewing their website or Bark profile. Most magicians will have video examples of their tricks to showcase the best they have to offer. Always remember to check their reviews, as genuine customers will give an honest assessment of their work. It’s quick and simple to read reviews of professionals on Bark - just head over to their Bark profile and have a read!

As magicians work with the general public every day, it’s important that they have insurance to cover them in the case that anything goes wrong. It’s a good idea to ask for their insurance details before committing to a booking so that you can rest assured that you’ll be safe in their hands.

As the name suggests, a close-up magician will perform a variety of tricks up close - just inches away from their audience. This adds to the allure and surprise as you’ll be left wondering how the magician managed to pull the trick off literally in front of your eyes. Close-up magicians usually circulate around the room to perform tricks on smaller groups, making for an immersive experience.
