We recently hired John for my husband's 40th birthday party, and instantly warmed to his wonderful manner. I found John via a search engine and right from the start, his warm and responsive communication marked him out as a true professional. I really appreciated the options he offered in terms of his service and was particularly attracted to the idea of the tutorials, because my husband loves magic. John arrived when the (adult) party was in full-swing and he joined in with the energy straight away, mingling beautifully and generating much mirth and wonder in the small groups of party-goers he gathered together. My feeling was that he stayed with us until there was no-one else to surprise, rather than leaving at his 'allotted time'. We engaged Jon to entertain our guests at out Daughters wedding, he was very professional in all communication prior to the wedding and on the day turned up as agreed. John entertained the guests while the photographers were taking their photo's selecting those not chosen for certain shots to keep everyone happy. Prior to the wedding meal and speeches John circulated amongst the guests baffling all of them with his close up magic. We hired John to do his entertaining at our 35th Wedding Anniversary Party last Saturday. My business team had not met face to face for over a year due to all the Covid restrictions, including some new staff who had not met all the team. I was looking for something special to make the day memorable and bring the team together into a shared experience. John rose to the challenge, starting with some card tricks in the lounge after lunch and then in to our meeting room with his full show. He engaged well with the team, involving them all during the show, providing opportunities to be involved in the magic. To finish the show we were then taught some simple tricks with rubber bands and a pack of cards - very revealing with an opportunity for all to succeed. The buzz from my team was great, the chatter the next day showed that it had made a difference to the team meeting, and a week later we are still talking about the magic, although most of us have not stopped practicing. We organised an adult party using a couple of chartered carriages on the Great Central Railway. We felt a need to entertain our guests and decided a magician was what we needed. Using a website for entertainers we found several but the reply we received from John was so professional and understanding of our needs he was selected. He was excellent, not having performed on a train before he adapted his tricks to the environment perfectly. Our guests all commented positively on his interactions. Not a mean fete with an audience of that many scientists! During welcome drinks and general socialising he milled around in the welcome area enchanting everyone and generating quite a crowd. As we moved through to dinner, he performed at the tables but at all times was considerate and sensitive to mood. I booked John for Mercedes-Benz of Birmingham's 1st of March new car handover event. We wanted the day to be memorable for our customers when they collected their new cars but we wanted them to take away a memory of the day also. John entertained our customers in the sales and aftersales departments all day performing close up magic which they thoroughly enjoyed.
