Due to a recent accident that left me with a leg in cast, I needed someone to walk my dog.
I had Ritchie come to my house and saw how he was with my dog and how she was with him. I was impressed by Ritchie's professional and knowledgable approach and signed up for 2 walks a week. I wish it was more. Pippa comes home happy, content and relaxed.
I receive regular updates and pictures when Pippa is on her walk. I appreciate this personal touch as it lets me know and see how Pippa is doing.
I have no hesitation in recommending Sirbarkalot.
Professional, reliable, and very reasonably priced for a 1 to 1 service for my girl.
Thanks Ritchie, you've been a good find

I have been dog walking now for over 3 years and we offer dog walking, puppy and elderly dog visits. The business is fully insured under pet plan sanctuary, I am disclosure Scotland checked and have a canine first aid certificate. Steven has been looking after our dog Indy on and off since he was a pup and is brilliant as a dog walker.
He's reliable, flexible and provides a high standard of service each time. Very trustworthy and always happy to go above and beyond with the job and requests (such as arranging last minute emergency walks on the day which has happened on occasion)
Indy clearly adores him, always happy and well looked after.
Good with communication and decently priced!
Would definitely recommend the dogfather to all pet owners!!

I decided to start dog walking after a long career in social work. At that time my own dog was being looked after with a dog walker, and that’s when it hit me, that’s what i want to do.
James has been walking Lloyd since he was. Puppy and I can't recommend him highly enough. Not only did he train Lloyd but cares for all his dogs as if they were his own. We cannot rate James highly enough!

Could not recommend you enough. The boys Toby&Ojo absolutely love you and you go over and above for them. Very accommodating and a massive help to us. I could not thank you enough especially the help you gave us while I was in hospital for almost a week gave you about 5 minutes notice asking you to come in and check on and feed the boys and nothing was an issue for you. Very glad we found and met you as you are just the best

It all started with a very noisy, very loving Cocker Spaniel named Louis. This well meaning and intense little dog changed our lives. Then came his brother Oscar; the protector of the house. Then came Perfect Paws.
No matter what the season, for us there is nothing better than being outside enjoying the wild, fresh, open air with our four legged friends. As much as we care for Louis and Oscar, they care for us and have made our lives rich, full of love, adventure and have given us many happy moments and memories.
Lisa and Perfect Paws have been walking our very energetic Springer Rocky for the last three months and she has been brilliant! She seems to have a pairing up dogs for the walks down to a fine art. We have now moved out the area so can no longer make me use of her services, which has made myself and of course Rocky very sad. I would recommend her service highly of anyone looking for a dog walker. Robyn

Trusted and reliable
Who are they?
The best services are personalised. That's why at Bark, we make sure that your list of quotes is tailored to you. Each of your free quotes will give you lots of information about each professional dog walker, such as:
Whether you pay by the hour or per dog
The level of experience and any qualifications that each dog walker has
The type of transport that they'll use
The areas of Edinburgh that they'll cover
Whether they'll walk with other dogs or can walk your pup solo if required
Depending on the professional that you choose, there are a number of different services available to you as the dog owner. Some walkers offer email or text updates letting you know of any toys that may have been sniffed out along the way. They'll also let you know the distance, time and the mood of your dog on that particular day. Others may update you face-to-face. Whatever service you choose via Bark, you can rest assured that your best friend will be taken good care of.
The secret to top quality service is the personal touch. With Bark, you can find experienced dog walkers who meet your specific needs. Maybe you need a walker who will enforce the same training regime as you do at home. It might be that your dog benefits from lots of new and exciting experiences to keep them active and entertained. Or you simply need a reliable dog walker who you can trust.
Whatever your priorities, our network of trusted dog walkers covers the whole of Edinburgh. So you’re bound to find a professional for you. All you have to do is let Bark know what type of special service, experience or expertise you want from your Edinburgh dog walker. And we’ll sort out the rest.
Where are they?
Edinburgh is a great city and there are so many places to go and explore. In each of your quotes, the area that each dog walker covers will be included. So wherever you and your pup are in the hilly capital, we can put you in touch with a dog walker who’s based nearby.
For puppies, you may want a walker who takes your dog to places with lots of interesting sights and smells. Walks around Portobello Beach and Cramond Beach make for a fun day out. While joint walks with other dogs can help your pup to socialise and make new friends. Maybe your dog needs one-to-one attention or prefers going solo. Exploring more enclosed, quieter spaces, such as Holyrood Park and Harrison Park, might be more up their street. Whatever your dog’s needs, at Bark we make sure that you find a professional that fits the bill.
A trusted dog walker servicing dogs and their owners from across Edinburgh, Jeremy from Scots on Four Legs offers local, flexible dog walking services for all pups and pooches.
Hear from a professional
Why did you become a professional dog walker?
We always kept dogs as a family, but because of my work in the army I could never have my own dog as I moved around too much. When I finally retired from the army, I got into walking as a way to keep myself active. One day when I was walking up the Pentlands, I saw a lady who was clearly a dog walker. She must have had at least five dogs with her. I thought it was the perfect job for me – I could combine my love of dogs with my love of walking, and get paid doing it!
What services do you offer?
I mostly offer longer walks as opposed to the quick walk around the neighbourhood. Although for my more loyal customers, I am happy to fit in shorter walks here and there. Most of the time, I take a couple of the dogs walking for a few hours outside of the city, so that we can all stretch our legs. The dogs love it because they can run around and explore, as well as socialise with some new and familiar faces. I love it because the dogs make great company and it keeps me fit and active. It’s always a great day out for me and the dogs.
What’s your favourite Edinburgh dog walk?
If I was to go outside of Edinburgh, my favourite dog walk is to hike up one of the tracks along the Pentland Hills. This is a much harder walk than an easy hike, and really challenges me and the dogs. But I also go walking up Arthur’s Seat quite often, as I can head up there from the centre of Edinburgh, which can make pickups and drop-offs easier. Plus, it has a fantastic view at the top!
