I am based in Gravesend and cover the Dartford to Medway area. I offer a wide range of services – each tailored specifically for your dog. From puppy training, socialisation, basic training (such as sit, stay and recall), lead training and careful behavioural modification for fear based behaviours are just a few things that I can help you with. All sessions are based at your home, but in some cases where it may be beneficial, we will take the training outside. Each session will last approximately an hour so as not to ‘overload’ the dog - and you! Before any training/advice is given I undertake a full assessment at your home (approx. 1 hour) and we can discuss the problems/issues that you are encountering. Initial assessments are free of charge and after these have been carried out I will provide you with a detailed tailored programme just for your dog. All costs will be discussed up front and prices start from £10 per hour. All training is positive reinforcement based and all behaviour modification programmes are carefully implemented. I do not use ALPHA DOG TRAINING or PUNISHMENT TRAINING techniques, the welfare and psychology of the dog is of the utmost importance. I am fully insured and provide details of this upon request. Years ago I adopted a dog who was completely different to any dog I had ever had before. I looked for help with training, from the internet to trainers and I either found the advice/information contradicting or the costs were so high! I began to study dog behaviour/psychology and training and I also volunteered with animal rescues to give me practical hands-on experience. I started Perfect Paws Dog Training to help people who were in my situation many years ago.
I only ever use positive reinforcement training techniques and carefully implemented behaviour modification programmes, I do not use punishment or alpha dog training. All of my programmes are specially tailored for your dog - there is no one size fits all! I undertake a detailed assessment of your dog, which normally takes up to an hour, and during this, I discuss the issues/problems with the owner and meet the dog - these assessments are free of charge and you are under no obligation to sign up to any training.
I want to make training affordable for more people, so my programmes start from £10 an hour and packages are available. I can help with a wide range of problems and issues - from basic puppy training all the way to aggression, my aim is to make sure that you and your dog live a happy and contented life!
