What inspired you to start your own business?
Being able to be my own boss appealed to me as giving me the opportunity to be able to interact personally with customers meant that I can answer any questions about a particular problem first hand and customers’ are able to then contact me should they need to and not an office or call centre.

Wasps and Hornets
Wasps and Hornets are usually more noticeable from mid-April through to October and sometimes into the winter months due to the warmer winters we are now encountering. Due to the high numbers of wasps can reach in a nest, upward of 8000 -10000 if it has reached its full potential, amateur treatments and lack of PPE make these a formidable insect that shouldn’t be approached lightly, especially as they are considered the most dangerous insect in the UK.

Fleas are able to infest a property at an alarming rate and lay dormant for up to a year in their pupa state. Cockroaches
There are 3 cockroach species commonly seen in the UK, the two most common of those being the German and the Oriental.

Beetles
Carpet Bettle are probably the most common beetle you will encounter with the larva stage "Woolly Bear", doing the damage to carpets and textiles, anything with natural fibres. The beetle simply lays the eggs and when hatched the larva will devour their intended food source. Wea re able to combat these insects effectively.
Flies
Although flies do have purpose on this Earth and are sometimes needed as they can consume dead/decaying matter and waste, they can carry some terrible diseases which are transmittable to humans and can cause anything from a tummy ache to some more sinister. We are able to treat fly infestations, try to locate the source and advise on how to prevent them in the future
Spiders
Generally, spider infestations occur during the early autumn months, when it is too cold for them to nest outside and have had all summer to feed making them easy to spot and mostly adults.
UK spiders are mostly harmless, even the false widow spider, but they can still be stressful and disruptive especially if you suffer with arachnophobia. Seeing spider around your environment usually means they are nesting in voids such as cavities and loft spaces and the most telling sign you have them is the presence of a web or webs. Clearing away webs is a good start to keep them at bay, but we are able to control these arachnids by utilising a combination of space sprays and residual poisons
Silverfish
Silverfish generally stem from a damp environment so any pest control treatment should be combines with trying to remove any damp issues. Simple things like ventilation by opening windows and the use of dehumidifiers and heaters can greatly reduce the issues and combined with our pest control operation, silverfish can be eradicated.
As silverfish are attracted to glucose (sugar)as their food source, we take advantage of this feeding habit with the use of baits, residual sprays and where applicable powders.
