A great website is one that achieves the goals of the business. That might mean generating more enquiries, attracting the right customers, increasing sales or building trust. It starts with understanding the business and its customers, then bringing together the right message, content and design to encourage visitors to take action. What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
We want to know what your business does, who your ideal customers are, why people choose you over competitors and what you'd like your website to achieve. We'll often ask questions that help uncover strengths you might not have considered.
What do you love most about your job?
Getting to know different businesses and the people behind them. Every business has its own story and challenges, and we enjoy finding ways to communicate what makes it special. It's particularly rewarding when our work helps a customer grow.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been building websites since the late 1990s, when the internet was still relatively new to most businesses. I recognised how much potential it had to help smaller businesses compete and established Plastic Box in 2002.

Yes. We work remotely with businesses across the UK, using phone calls, video meetings and email. We manage everything from initial planning and copywriting to website development, launch and ongoing support, without the need for face-to-face meetings.

We provide our services remotely, with consultations, project reviews and ongoing support handled by phone, video call and email. This means customers can work with us safely and conveniently, wherever they're based, without needing in-person appointments.
