How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
Most garages are able to be converted as long as the roof is in good condition. if your garage has a cavity the conversion is easier however a single leaf garage can be drylined/ insulated.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
Dry line the walls, damp proof walls, install new suspended floor over original concrete, insulate walls/ floor, install all services, make any structural changes ie windows doors, plasterboard space/ plaster, install second fix joinery and services.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
You need a minimum of 2100mm head room from the new floor structure you will be putting into space. Ideally you should have around 2.500mm head room from your current celling timbers.

Building scaffold, making access hole in roof, installing new independent floor, Structural alterations to roof if needed, making roof water tight, installing services, insulation, plasterboard / plastering, new staircase, second fix joinery / services.

My particular business has been trading for the last four years however I have been in my family building business for the last 20 years.

I like bringing some ones ideas into reality. I like when my work is complete and my client gets exactly what they want.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I come from a long established background from working with my dads building company since I was 15. As he stepped back I stepped forward to run my own business.
