I am a full time piano coach with over 20 years experience, a professional classical and jazz pianist, and a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Piano Performance.

I provide personal mentoring to help you reach your full musical potential. Every aspect of playing is covered, as well as help with the more psychological side such as building the right practice routine into your lifestyle, understanding the science of learning (how your brain wants to absorb new information), and how to find joy in your practice time, rather than self doubt, frustration and boredom.

I coach people who love music, and want to express it effortlessly, whether that’s in jazz, classical, pop or any other genre. I make sure you have the techniques and knowledge needed to meet your goals and the accountability and support needed to not give up along the way.

I do prepare students for ABRSM/Trinty exams but not as an end in themselves. I am more interested in helping you become a complete musician for life and this means the focus is on the process not the short term outcome.

I work with complete beginners who want to protect themselves from unknowingly establishing bad habits and wasting time at the piano.

I work with intermediate and advanced who have specific areas they’d like to grow in (jazz/classical harmony, transcription, composition, sight reading, score interpretation etc).

I work with everyone at any level who wants to go over the foundations of piano playing, strengthen weaknesses and achieve their musical ambitions (or wants help with direction in general).
