We’ve had the great pleasure of Valerie teaching our three children (twins of 11 years and 7 yr old) and my husband French for the past year. Valerie has just tutored my son for a week over the Summer holidays. French isn't something that he finds easy and he wasn't too excited when I told him that he would be on a 15 hour course in holiday time! Our French lessons helped us to grasp the structure of the language - verbs, tenses, vocabulary...
A creative teaching style resulted in each lesson being different (playing 'Guess Who' in French was a particular favourite!
).
Lessons have been tailored around French current affairs and subjects reflecting our particular interests (mainly sport, art, food and wine!).
This has resulted in us gaining the practical skills and confidence needed to deal with day to day situations every time we visit.
