We listened to Bearfoot Soul at my sister-in-law’s birthday party and he was amazing! We couldn’t stop saying how good he was. He is not only a pitch perfect singer with a wide range of songs in his repertoire, but he has the charisma to get the crowd going too. Everyone was enjoying themselves and dancing the night away. I booked BareFootSoul (Matt White) to perform and DJ at my 50th birthday this January, having seen him perform at the Alex Café Bar in Felixstowe a couple of times. When my daughter and I met Matt and his son, we enjoyed chatting to them after their sets, and we thought they were lovely people, as well as a talented musician/performer and sound tech respectively.I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with all of the planning for my birthday party, so a friend of mine kindly contacted BareFootSoul on my behalf. My friend was very impressed by what Matt had to say and also remarked on how lovely Matt had been to speak to. I was provided with a quote and information about what BareFootSoul could offer, and Matt arranged to chat with me via video call closer to the date of my party. During that call, we talked through all of the information I’d been sent via email and WhatsApp, and Matt was very clear that they would tailor what they offered to my preferences and requirements. We discussed what kind of music I would like and how I’d like the live performance and DJing to fit around my sit-down meal at the Alex Brasserie. As BareFootSoul performs at the Alex Brasserie quite regularly, it was very easy to leave them to liaise with the venue.On the night of my birthday party, I arrived to find that Matt and his son had everything beautifully set up on stage, had completed the sound check, etc., and were ready to roll. The performance was absolutely amazing, as I’d come to expect, and the DJing and background music were exactly what I wanted.During the night, so many of my guests came up to me to ask where I’d found BareFootSoul! They all commented that he was “great” and told me how much they were enjoying the performance.My youngest nephew, Rian, immediately seemed to love the live performance! Matt let him play percussion instruments, do a little vocal work, and even gave him his plectrum at the end of the night. From the moment Matt started playing, while we were still seated at the dining table, Rian was dancing in his seat, and although he was a little shy, he later hit the dance floor! Rian became extremely enthusiastic with lip-syncing and air guitar during some of the performance. In fact, Rian was so taken with BareFootSoul that, a couple of days later, for his birthday, he requested a guitar! I turned up with his gifts to find him playing a realistic-looking toy guitar with the plectrum that Matt had given him. Rian was not the only member of my party who received attention and involvement during the performance, and this caused a great deal of amusement and enjoyment!Throughout the entire experience — from the initial enquiry, the booking, our video chat, the correspondence, and finally the performance on the night — BareFootSoul were not only very professional, but also incredibly warm, friendly, and sensitive to my needs and preferences. At the end of the night, I received a hug from both Matt and his son and felt as though I would always be welcome at any BareFootSoul performance 🥰I would not hesitate to recommend BareFootSoul to anybody looking to book music and entertainment for their party or other event.
