What do you love most about your job?

We love the interaction with the client. Getting to know them and then crafting the design to suit them. Each and everybody is different and so is their taste and character, crafting their ideal home, extension or annex space is not only enjoyable but is what gets us out of bed every morning. We believe there is no one design fits all and that the perfect project only happens when the client and architect are working in perfect harmony.

What inspired you to start your own business?

To be on the front line of design and architecture. To be able to bring our ideas and skills to a wide audience, including those who may never have realised they needed the skills of one.
Every day is a different challenge and this helps drive us on.

Why should our clients choose you?

We are a young and vibrant practice, who are very open to new and different types of technologies, styles, ways of living and forms of construction. We are not tied down to one style, or one form of construction, while we also feel we provide a competitive price, while looking to build bonds that will last a lifetime.

Hiring an architectural services firm is a great investment as it can help increase the value of your home.

Costs will normally include the design advice, on-site survey, professional CAD drawings, drawing amendments, planning applications and planning revisions.

Your expert architectural services firm will be able to help make the changes you are looking for or create a new build. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a qualified architect today.

Here are some aspects that are important to consider when opting for an architectural services firm. It is important that the architect is registered and provide you with a portfolio of work with recent images. It is also recommended to complete a site visit where the architect might point out the particular features of that project.

Architects need to monitor the project throughout so it is also important that they have a good working relationship with experienced contractors.

Some architectural services firms only do international work. If you have a small project, you might want to consider a small firm that can give you its full attention.

Your local professional should work with you on your creative ideas and ensure that you get the best value for money for your budget.

A building project might take just six months or a couple of years to complete. Make sure you choose an architecture firm that you will be comfortable working with for the long term.

You may meet an architect you like in the initial meeting phase but when the project gets underway, you may be working more closely with a different colleague. Make sure you know which individuals you will be working with throughout your project.

A side return extension is considered to be permitted development (PD). It does not need planning permission as long as the extension is within two metres of a boundary and the maximum eaves height is no higher than three metres.

Architectural services firms can provide complete drawing and design services, submit planning applications, check building regulations, undertake Structural Engineer calculations for loft conversions, extensions, internal alterations and new builds.

Architects also manage the entire process with the local authorities and should keep clients informed of the progress of their application along the way.
