I offer a refreshingly different service when it comes to will writing, probate and power of attorney services in Sussex. Respect for my clients is at the heart of everything I do; even my terms and conditions apply to my clients rights rather than their obligations. My will writing service is friendly and approachable with none of the old fashioned stuffiness you get with some solicitors. My knowledge however is completely up to date. My unique mix of both legal and financial qualifications has given me an in depth knowledge which I keep up to date through regular study. I am no saleswoman and there is never any pressure to buy from me. I simply hope that you will like my honest and straightforward approach. My aim is to ensure that each client gets exactly what they need as there really never is a one size fits all when it comes to will writing. My powers of attorney are excellent value for money compared to most and the service I give is extremely comprehensive, covering all administration and submission of documents. There are so many situations where a power of attorney can make life easier although they are especially useful in caring for relatives or friends who may become unable to look after themselves. I also offer Advance Directives at very low cost which allow you to specify aspects of your health care if you are ever unable to make those decisions in the future. With all the concerns over the Liverpool care pathway, this is excellent news. Perhaps you would want to be resuscitated at all costs, but perhaps you wouldn't, everyone is different and these directives give control back to the patient and ease worries for your family as they know your wishes. I also specialise in helping people to complete probate themselves, saving significantly on legal fees. With an increase in claims against estates in our litigious times, it is more important than ever that any will you have is correctly drafted and documented. Sadly, many aren't and particularly with online ones the margin for error is quite large. I am fully insured against by a reputable company ensuring that you have total peace of mind. I also chose to be regulated in a non regulated industry with many cowboys. My regulator is the society of will writers and I comply at all time with their code of conduct. You have recourse to them if you are unhappy with my service in any way. Thank you for reading and please just give me a call or send me an email with any questions.
I absolutely love the face to face nature of my job. Every single one of my clients is different which makes the job really varied. One day I will managing a bespoke package for a business owner who needs to make sure that their business is secured against death or incapacity. The next day I will be speaking to an elderly person who has lived their life and knows that they have only a short time left. Some of my clients have extensive assets and some have next to none but each receives the same level of service. In most cases I manage to find something the client hasn't even thought of and a way to help them that had not crossed their mind. I've always had a real eye for detail and that certainly helps as the devil really is in the detail when it comes to wills. If they are badly drafted they simply won't do what they are supposed to and can often even do the opposite. I'll throw in the worst side of my job too - the marketing! I am no saleswoman and prefer to grow by word of mouth if possible. It does at least mean that you don't get any sales pressure!
I have owned my own business for over 15 years and was mainly inspired by the need for flexibility to look after my children when they were young. It's really hard for families nowadays to juggle work and children. The best I came up with was being able to work often from home so that I could still manage school runs. My children are older now although I am in the taxi driving phase but they now fit around my work more easily. I sold my previous successful business and invested some of the proceeds into setting up this one which is a much better fit for my knowledge. I was inspired to change after paying over £800 to have a will drawn up by a local solicitor. On this occasion the experience wasn't positive at all and I could see so much of a need for a much more modern and flexible service backed up by extensive knowledge and a professional but caring attitude. There is huge variation of quality within the industry and I aim to ensure that anyone who chooses services from me feels happy that they made the right decision.
I am frequently told that I am very easy to talk to and that I explain things in a really straightforward, understandable manner.
Although I don't aim to always be the cheapest my charges are very fair for the level of work involved and for the knowledge I need to have. My prices will always be fair and there won't be hidden nasties.
There will be absolutely no pressure to buy from me. Although I may occasionally need to mention a service if I think it would be really useful to you, I only ever let you know what is available and leave it up to you.
Payments can always be made in instalments.
My terms and conditions protect you rather than me. I really dislike that a business wants your custom then puts a huge number of conditions on you as a client. My terms cover issues like how you can complain if you need to, how you can pay for free in instalments and the like, rather than what I can get from you! I honestly believe that my service is different and ultimately I want you to agree with that too.
