Katrina worked really hard to get some amazing photos of our wedding whilst respecting our wish to keep the photography informal, unobtrusive and relaxed. We gave her a list (quite a long list actually!) of the different groups and shots we would like and she got them all!
All our guests commented how friendly and relaxed Katrina was - it was actually like having a really good friend there with a great camera. Had a great time at Seven Springs studio. I was given the experience as a birthday present and myself and my partner had such a fun couple of hours in the studio. Make up and bubbly to start, and then just non stop laughter with Andy. He made us feel at ease and comfortable in an environment we wouldn’t necessarily normally feel at ease in! My name is Hamish Baird and I'm a photographer who takes pride in getting all the best shots from the day while being as unobtrusive as possible. From the outset, I'm always keen to get an outline of how you would like your day covered and which specific aspects of your day you'd like me to focus on? As you know, wedding photography is an investment, so the more feedback you can give me, the better the results will be. I think it's important to briefly break down my fee (£750), as on the surface it sounds like a lot of money for a day. The truth is, it’s a process that usually takes about 5 days and the actual photography aspect is just one of those days (So my day rate translates to £150 a day). I ask for £100 deposit up front to secure the date, £325 to be paid a week before the wedding and the balance of £325 to be paid on receipt of the full digital download. Here’s what’s included: - Your own client page. - Full day coverage. - x 500 edited hi-res photos. - Secure online gallery with slideshow. - Single downloadable zip file of all photos. Behind the scenes, I use a powerful workflow management system that incorporates all the aspects of our interactions, from emails to photo galleries, and which also provides you with your own Client Page from which you can find everything related to your day. This keeps things simple for you, as everything related to your day is in one place. As you know, it's important that you find a photographer whose work resonates with you and with whom you have a connection and feel happy and comfortable to be around. My job requires me to look for the best in people and to capture genuine moments that I hope will resonate for years to come.
I had spent many years in a number of different creative careers from working in graphic & website design, to be a 2d character animator for children's TV to being a landscape painter and I enjoyed every moment of working in each field.
But when I began to take photography more seriously and started to take portraits of people, I realised just how powerful photos are. More importantly, I realised this was a direction that I wanted to concentrate more of my time and attention towards.
My clients choose me primarily for creativity and my discretion. I like to know exactly what they're after and then to be left to just get on with it. I understand it requires faith on the part of my clients, but hopefully, my portfolio communicates my level of competence.
I am at heart also an artist, illustrator and designer, giving me a huge amount of experience to draw from when creating a photograph.
