We set up SKTCH Design Ltd in 2017 to provide Mechanical Design Engineering support to a wide range of companies in the manufacturing industry. Initially taking on short and long term contracts to provide CAD expertise and knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes to support project development, we have now grown to offer a Design Consultancy service. We specialise in Design for Manufacture, Design for Assembly and Design for Serviceability. We have experience designing components utilising manufacturing processes from Injection Moulding to Sheet Metal Forming, from Casting to Pipe Forming. SKTCH Design Ltd has a great deal of experience working in design and engineering with companies across multiple industries such as Electrical Home Appliances, Oil and Gas Engineering, Aerospace and Defence Contractors. From these sectors we have developed design understanding for many different manufacturing processes, such as injection moulding, vacuum forming, metal casting, sheet metal pressing and machining. Our ability to prototype improves our design review process and increases the confidence in our designs.
We aim to be a paperless company, all of our 2D drawings are provided in pdf format, and 3D models can be shared in a number of formats. We operate remotely from our offices, but we can visit clients and suppliers to ensure that the design and intent is communicated correctly.
During Covid, we were able to continue our work with a number of customers as we remained fully remote, connecting our system with larger clients PLM systems where necessary. We can facilitate virtual meetings through various systems such as Teams or Zoom.
