My son is loving his electric guitar lessons with Anthony. The tutor is brilliant and works very hard to make sure my 8 year finds it fun and easy to practice. I’m very pleased with his progress. The management are acoomodating and approachable. Overall a 5 star experience.
Gary is a great teacher with plenty of experience who will teach you both the main aspects of music as well as the little things you wouldn't think about. From teaching the scales and various chord positions and progressions up to the techniques and tricks to add further excitement to music, he is a fantastic tutor that I continue to learn from and highly recommend.
I went in there with very minor experience. I had lessons when I was 14 and did not gel with my previous tutor. 13 years later I decided to take it up again and Eric helped me establish a better understanding. I learnt a few simple songs within a matter of weeks (Burning Love, Hurt and Over My Head (Cable Car). He helped me with positioning, tempo and helped me work on finger picking which I found incredibly difficult. Absolute sound guy who made it very enjoyable. I have since moved from Blackburn which is a shame but we have stayed in touch and I'm forever asking him for tips and advice.
Wayne McMillen Guitar Tuition
Certificate of Excellence
I am an experienced full time guitar tutor with over 15 years experience.
I am based in Penwortham on the edge of Preston but also teach via Skype to students all over the country and around the world.
I teach acoustic and electric guitar and cover a large variety of styles so you can learn guitar to your favourite music, as long as its not dance; dub step isn't so easy on guitar!
I also offer a free 30minute trial lesson in my Penwortham studio or over Skype if you'd like to see how you go first.
I look forward to hearing from you.
I love seeing my students progress! The most rewarding part is when a pupil nails something they've been practicing for a while, the look on their faces is priceless!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I naturally fell into teaching as a profession as I had learnt it myself for years. My tutor asked if I would be interested in teaching a few lessons on a couple of evening and that was that.
After I got comfortable being the one teaching and not learning I decided this is what I wanted to do with my life and started up my own business in my own studio. I developed a real connection with my students, knowing what it's like to have lessons myself - I even still do! You can never know it all!
Why should our clients choose you?
I don't want to go on about how awesome my guitar lessons are (they are by the way! ha) All I would suggest you do is try out the free 30 minute trial lesson and see for yourself.
We can go over what you want to learn and how we can approach it and then it can be your decision as to whether we will be a good fit. You can also check out my website wmguitartuition.co.uk for some video tutorials to get an idea of what it's like to have lessons with me.
The only other thing I want to mention is that we'll have a laugh. Whether we're chatting about video games or I'm making stupid jokes so your child feels more at ease in lessons it is always enjoyable and I honestly do enjoy sharing my passion with others :)
