He has over 35 years teaching experience and is an International Examiner for the London College of Music. Nick also writes and delivers courses for gifted and talented pupils of all ages and all experience at LCME Summer Schools. For many years Nick was Lead Tutor for Rock and Pop Development with the Blackburn with Darwen Music Service. This involved working with many teachers and covering over 900 pupils in Primary, Secondary and 6th Form colleges, to develop the learning of all styles of rock and pop instruments. Nick even wrote the complete Internal Award Exam Syllabus for Guitar and Bass for the Borough. Nick has had three books published by CORDA music (all Classical guitar compositions), and teaches Classical/Acoustic/Bass/Electric guitar, Banjo, Mandolin and Ukulele. In January 2015 Nick was awarded ‘Experienced Exam Tutor’ status by the RGT, for continued success with pupils in the exams. Nick’s teaching has been Quality Assured through the Blackburn with Darwen Music Hub, and he holds the enhanced DBS clearance needed to work with young children and adults. Nick is a member of the Incorporated Society Of Musicians, and has passed the Educare Child Protection in Education Course. With all these accomplishments Nick is one of the best in the industry!
