Hi, I’m Kevin Williamson, I work under my company name, Flying Duck Creative Ltd. I am a independent multi-disciplined freelance creative with more than 25 years experience working with advertising and marketing agencies in London and the South West as a graphic designer and illustrator. I offer a full design service including: Logos, corporate identity and branding | Brand development and guidelines | Direct mail | Stationery | Leaflets| Posters and flyers | Magazines and newsletters Brochure design | Promotional material | Exhibition and banner stands | Annual reports | Event graphics signage | Graphic design Infographic design and creation. I would work with you on your project from conception to completion, and will produce all your print-ready artwork and manage the print or website development if required. I will always be your point of contact throughout your project. In addition, I also offer an illustration service. You may have thought of having your own quirky character or using illustration for your business or website? A mascot or character can really help make your business memorable and different. I can work with you to create a unique character or develop a bespoke illustration style. Versatility and flexibility is the key to my illustration work which consists of many different styles and methods, ranging from hand drawn to digital. Over the years I’ve produced a variety of illustrations for the medical industry, publishing companies (for book jackets and children’s books), corporate businesses, advertising agencies, supermarkets and for many household brands.
After an initial communication, either email contact, phone conversation, or if possible face to face meeting to discuss your project I would create initial concepts. From these, a creative route would be agreed and we would work together to create the first stage design.
In the case of illustration work the process would be much the same, I would create an initial pencil rough for approval before commencing with the final illustration.
I would keep you regularly updated with the project to make sure you’re happy with the progress.
As much background information as possible, the details will obviously vary depending on the nature of the project.
For example, if designing a logo/branding then a little background information about the company, target audience, competitors, nature of the company etc.
For most print design work, brochure, magazine, stationery etc. I would need all the content for the project, the copy, any imagery, if any, logos and size.
Everyday brings and new challenge, every project is different, every client is different. One day, I’m producing a new logo or developing a brand, the next, designing a new magazine or creating a illustration. I enjoy meeting and working with new clients, learning about their businesses and hopefully being able to create something new and unique for them which they, and I, would be proud of.
After spending many years working on a freelance basis around London, working in-house in various agencies I decided to set up my own business.
Essentially I still work into agencies as I always have but I also now find and have my own clients that I work with.
Moving out of London and working on a remote basis has enabled me to offer more competitive prices. My travelling time, and expenses has dramatically reduced to virtually nothing, which again helps with cost to my clients and it also gives me more time to create a fantastic job for you!

I am a versatile and flexible illustrator consisting of many different styles and methods from the hand drawn to the digitally produced.
