TOG Temple Of Groom

We are a small family run business offering grooming, walking, homestay boarding and daycare for dogs. Based in Morecambe, Lancashire in our cozy yet large cottage, we aim to provide that homely feeling and attention that you just can't get from a kennel service. Jen, our head groomer specialises in the extra care needed for old and anxious dogs to enjoy a pamper, after all, everyone should look their best. We provide a range of walking options, from short and simple for those easily tired, to long rambles in the countryside for pups with a surplus of energy.

What do you love most about your job?

With every new customer is a chance to build a relationship with human and dog alike. Learning new personalities and needs is always an interest of ours. We adore dogs at TOG and everyday spent with dogs is a wonderful day.

What inspired you to start your own business?

After living in Melbourne, Australia for 5 years, Jen worked her way to the top in 3 different dog grooming salons. Now an experienced head dog groomer and dog grooming tutor, Jen knows dogs. Specialising in nervous, elderly and anxious dogs, they all seem to stay calm throughout the grooming experience. Travelling all over Melbourne to customers homes to groom their dogs, mostly anxious dogs who’d been traumatised by previous grooming experiences, Jen built up a strong, regular customer base and also started walking and providing daycare for dogs. The beginning of 2020 began a new path for us, moving back to our hometown of Morecambe, we started our own dog walking, boarding, daycare and grooming business. All in the comfort of our family home. We welcome dogs with open arms to stay and play with us.

Why should our clients choose you?

Our warm, large cottage provides plenty of room for dogs to wander, relax and even have some alone time if need be. We know the best and safest walking locations in the surrounding areas. Also, our in house dog groomer comes highly recommended by her current customers in Morecambe and previous customers in Melbourne. Please feel free to check out our google reviews for yourself. We offer excellent services for all your dogs needs.

The price of hiring a dog walker will depend on the area of the UK in which you live, with prices typically higher in the South of England and particularly in London. The cost of hiring a dog walker will often be lower in the North of England and in Scotland and Wales.

The most important thing when you’re hiring a dog walker is that both you and your dog trust them. You should also ensure that your dog walker has public liability insurance that covers them in case of damage, accident or loss. The best way to find a reliable and trustworthy dog walker is by reading reviews of previous clients. When you hire a dog walker through Bark, you can browse the profiles of dog walkers in your local area and read honest reviews from genuine customers.

It is recommended that a dog walker should walk a maximum of four dogs at a time, to enable them to maintain good control of each dog. Most dog walkers will give you the option of having your dog walked alone or with other dogs. Walking with other dogs will help your dog to develop valuable social skills. However, if your dog is reactive, you may prefer for them to be walked alone.
