We have a combined business offering rehabilitation for horses, people and small animals in various ways. We do K Laser photobiomodulation therapy for all which is a natural, drug free solution to long term muscular skeletal conditions. So if your back or joints hurt we can help. We also treat traumatic injuries and do pre and post surgery treatments since the therapy is exceptionally good at healing wounds, particularly chronic ones which are not responding to antibiotics. We also treat skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis and dermatitis or eczema. These treatments are also available for your dog, cat or rabbit or horse. Horses respond particularly well to treatment for back pain or un-resolved lameness, tendon injuries and laminitis. We have extensive equine facilities and have some permanent full and assisted liveries as well as rehabilitation visiting horses. We offer 24 hour care so if your horse has been injured once it is well enough to leave the vets we can be a realistically priced option for on-going care. This can be for a short time or particularly for laminitis cases longer term. We also offer laser treatments as a mobile service. For dogs we offer hydrotherapy treatments with registered hydro-therapists and fun, fitness swimming in our indoor therapy pool. You do need a vet referral form but we organise that for you. A one minute swim is equivalent to a one mile walk so swimming can also form a part of a rehabilitation package for dogs in need of training. Energetic dogs who drive their owners crazy are particularly well suited to a programme with swimming. We offer fun pet dog training including puppy socialisation groups where puppies play together, practise recalls and do some basic training as well as training groups, home visits and one to one training for older dogs. Finally as an ex-teacher I still do some rehabilitation in the form of coaching or private tutoring. If your child is behind at Key Stage 2 in English or Maths or not making the right progress at GCSE and A Level in Maths then some private lessons will help. Thirty years experience of teaching Maths means that I know the exam topics inside out and more importantly know what students find difficult to understand.
I get to do a huge variety of things both indoor and outdoor with people, horses, dogs and other small animals. Usually people come to us because they have a problem or an illness or their pet is suffering and we help to make it better. The animals love coming to see us and we get to see a huge variety of different breeds and I love them all. Seeing the suffering relieved and people going home happy is what makes my day. Sometimes the horses stay and become permanent liveries and that is great. Sadly some of our clients come to us in the final stages of life and being able to help them to remain mobile and to ease their pain is wonderful. Often some treatment whether it is laser or hydrotherapy or both can give them a whole new lease of life and they live much longer than their owner was expecting. I also love the puppies - (who doesn't) but helping people so that their pet becomes a joy is hugely rewarding. I have been pet dog training for over 30 years and want people want from their dog varies hugely and I enjoy helping people to turn their pet into the family member they wanted when they decided to have a dog or puppy.
After 30 years in Secondary Schools I wanted a less structured way of life working with the animals that I love and helping people. Now I get to do what I love almost all of the time. (There is still some dreaded paperwork - isn't there always?) We have fantastic facilities I get to help animals and people feel better and still spend a proportion of my time teaching whether it is through dog training or Maths teaching which I now do through private tutoring. I also get to spend almost 24 hours a day with my partner.
Our priority is providing an effective professional service in a friendly way. We care deeply about the people and animals which we treat and train and will go out of our way to ensure that you get an appointment when you need it, even if we have to work at odd times rather than make you or your pet wait in pain for another day. All of our staff are qualified and we have full insurance for all of the services which we offer.
