What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?

Knowing your craft in and out and having years of experience under your belt from working in many different styles, genres and events around the world.
Feeding off the crowd and most of all a great knowledge of music.

How would you describe your ‘style’?

Modern and clean.
So many DJs and lighting companies don't keep up to date with technology and/or refuse to understand the music of "today" classics always work, but there's a lot of great music and floorfillers out there from the 2000s.
When it comes to lighting a venue, I always try to think of that first moment when a client walks into the venue. What can I do to drop there chin!!! How can I dazzle them with what we do..
Everything we use is touch screen and wirelessly controlled so from any angle in any venue I can create and design the best possible colour and texture for the client in keeping with the venue!

What do you love most about your job?

I have a deep seated passion for lighting venues and DJing aswell as singing is just second nature.
But really, taking a project from start to finish is such a rush. Keeping up to date with the newest lighting and design also is a thrill.
It is of coarse a business, so anything we can do to out match the competition on both style and price for our client is a bonus.
And of coarse, the clients reaction when they see our creations!!! priceless!!

What inspired you to start your own business?

Growing up in the industry and working in London through my younger years sparked the DJ and singing, but working abroad within the events indust=try abroad helped me to cultivate a passion for venue styling and lighting on a larger scale.

Why should our clients choose you?

We are unique, down to earth and understand the ethos of an events core structure. this enables us to make a small or large budget work. Its not always about how much a client has to spend. Its the creative mind that can look at a venue or event and create something special from any budget. Thats what we can do.

It normally takes around 30-40 minutes for a DJ to set up their equipment but this could change depending on the specific DJ, venue, and event.

Most DJs will offer lighting hire either as an add-on or as part of their general service. Although it really depends on the DJ and the packages they offer. For example, a DJ may include floor lighting as a standard part of the service but then charge extra for more advanced lighting equipment including bar lights and moving headlights.

Most DJs will curate a playlist based on your requests and provide it to you in advance of the event, just to make sure that you’re happy with it and to make tweaks if necessary. How much freedom you give to your DJ in terms of creating the music list is essentially down to you. Some customers prefer to request almost every artist/track on the playlist, whereas others are happy for the DJ to take the reigns and come up with the tracks themselves.
