What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?

It's no secret really, it's all about having years of experience in entertaining different audiences and being aware of varied age groups, musical tastes and getting requests played asap!

What do you love most about your job?

Getting the opportunity to play all kinds of different music and helping people have a thoroughly enjoyable evening .

What inspired you to start your own business?

Having spent 12 years as a night club Dj (1978 - 1990) as a younger man, it became time to move on, offer my services for private hire and have the opportunity to play a much wider variety of music.

Why should our clients choose you?

As a Dj I am very friendly, relaxed and entertaining with extensive knowledge of all popular musical genres and their eras.
Most of my discos, I am pleased to say, have been booked through personal recommendation.
Like all Discos these days I have every kind of music available to play but more importantly, unlike many, I am experienced and skilful at choosing the RIGHT music to play at any particular event and always play your requests PROMPTLY!
I welcome your guidance on musical genres or eras, together with any music you want me to avoid, and always actively encourage requests from everyone on the night so everyone gets a little of what they fancy!
The equipment I use includes a pro quality high fidelity sound system with co-ordinated “intelligent lighting” and a professional up-lit Dj booth (no tacky
disco screens, unsightly gantries or twinkly cloth!) so you can be assured of a very smart presentation.
You also have the option to swap my hi-tech modern effects for vintage psychedelic projections to create an alternative look (Just ask for the "Liquid Lights" instead! +£30).
My pricing is completely transparent and fair and my terms are very simple and straightforward (no complicated one sided "contracts" with impenetrable small print).

How would you describe your ‘style’?

Friendly, relaxed and entertaining

It normally takes around 30-40 minutes for a DJ to set up their equipment but this could change depending on the specific DJ, venue, and event.

Most DJs will offer lighting hire either as an add-on or as part of their general service. Although it really depends on the DJ and the packages they offer. For example, a DJ may include floor lighting as a standard part of the service but then charge extra for more advanced lighting equipment including bar lights and moving headlights.

Most DJs will curate a playlist based on your requests and provide it to you in advance of the event, just to make sure that you’re happy with it and to make tweaks if necessary. How much freedom you give to your DJ in terms of creating the music list is essentially down to you. Some customers prefer to request almost every artist/track on the playlist, whereas others are happy for the DJ to take the reigns and come up with the tracks themselves.
