What do you love most about your job?

I spent twenty years working in education before retraining in CBT and ACT. I have always loved the feeling of empowering others within their current and future lives. Opening doors which others have seen as closed to them is magical.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I wanted to work more flexibly from home, to develop a business which allowed me to work in different areas, and this led to the creation of Foxes' Retreat. We hold Wellbeing Retreats, Writing Retreats and offer self-contained four bedroom accommodation for walking and cycling breaks in the Peak District. I also work with over 70 writers currently, supporting their creativity alongside their wellbeing. The variety of my days is what I love. Individual therapy clients, group writing clients and plenty of outdoor time for myself as I work non-standard office hours these days.

Why should our clients choose you?

I am compassionate and professional, and will only work with those clients who I feel I am the right fit for. I do not expect therapy clients to see me forever, as that would be counterproductive - I want to enable people to find ways to support and manage themselves, knowing that they can get back in touch if they need to in the future.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I am confident and happy working online with both individuals and groups.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Therapy is run online with Covid-19 in mind, and our Wellbeing Retreats are on hold until safer times. We have built a separate kitchen and entrance to the existing Retreat accommodation, to allow for complete social distancing whilst we find our way back to working more closely in person.
