Great venue for intimate shows. Keep this unique venue alive by supporting it. Very basic bar but it does the job. Love coming here thank you ❤️

Very charming, volunteer run venue that now has regular comedy nights with some very well-known comedians performing. Recent shows had Rich Hall, Mark Thomas and Paul Foot. The support acts are al brilliant too. Amazing atmosphere with a friendly supportive crowd. It's perfect for live comedy and a very different vibe to other comedy clubs you find in the city. More...

Despite living in Norwich for 10 years, I've never gotten round to visiting the puppet theatre.. until I was invited to see a drag panto. The performance, while intimate due to the nature of the theatre being an old church, was brilliant, hilarious and I can not wait to go again next year. The venue is as you would expect for (I'm going assume a church built in the 1500's if not earlier). My only bug bares were the tight seats. I'm 5ft 5 and a normal size, my knees were pressed against the seats in front for the whole performance. Again, this is probably due to the age if the building so I can't hold it against the venue. But it is worth noting if you are anything above 5ft 5 and a size 12... Would recommend otherwise. More...

Lovely Santa and elf, Bauble. Thankyou both. Very nice finger puppet animal which subsequently got lost and turned up after looking everywhere, in my shoe. Elf magic!

Came here especially to visit Father Christmas and it was brilliant. A lovely Santa with a real big beard and great costume, not a cheap bright red acrylic one. The kids were enthralled and the gift was a lovely touch. Would recommend. More...

My two granddaughters and I came to the Foolhardy circus workshop and show today - what a blast! They had so much fun learning how to use the equipment in the morning. The show in the afternoon had us all in stitches for an hour - Cosmo and Lucas were awesome performers! Fantastic entertainment for the price we paid. Thank you! More...

Who’d have thought the tragedy of "Hamlet" could be funny? Who’d have thought of Shakespeare the rock opera, in space, with puppets? It sounds like a fever dream – but it was WONDERFUL! I laughed *hard*; I clapped *HARDER*. Brilliant. Great songs, amazing puppetry, POWERFUL voices – GENIUS CONCEPT. Loved every single moment! Well done. I'd never heard of the Norwich Puppet Theatre until the ad for "Space Hamlet" popped up on my FB feed; I would recommend your theatre to anyone and everyone!👏👏👏👏👏👏 More...

Attended as a volunteer with my child’s school, and I was probably as amazed as the children the whole experience! From the puppets to view as you enter the building, to the sheer talent of the creators and puppeteers, to the story itself, there are not enough words to express the awe felt by all. I cannot recommend visiting highly enough, even without children in tow as all the adults in the room were laughing too. Definitely planning on returning, the artistry and passion is clear throughout! More...
