Emmiera came to fix a triple wardrobe which had collapsed after assembly, the technician partly fixed the collapsing issue. Unfortunately the shelves had been reattached unevenly, and one of the shelves has now been cracked due to a screw being inserted incorrectly during the repair. I bought a sofa from DFS c4 years ago, and a metal part of the headrest recliner mechanism has sheared off. I contacted DFS, who just told me I was out of warranty and put me in touch with this company. I was sceptical about this being fixable, but I contacted them anyway. They asked for photos and a description of the problem, which I sent. A few minutes later, I got an automated reply saying they would come out to fix it, and it's an £84, non-refundable call-out charge. So i called them and said, have you seen this problem before? Has anyone even looked at the photo? Can i get any reassurance that this is something you might be able to fix? etc. And the lady i spoke to told me i was being very unfair, and of course she'd looked at the photo, and they fix most jobs they go to, and did i still want the engineer to visit.The engineer turned up first thing this morning. Looked at this metal part, that has sheared away and got his phone out and started taking pictures of it within 30 seconds of being in the house. Any chance of repairing it, i said. No chance, he said. I thought, this will be interesting, let’s see how long he's here for. So, i checked the time, and he was gone, literally in 5 minutes of walking in the house. Worst £84 i've ever spent!!It's sad when your gut instinct is correct on this kind of thing. I knew it probably couldn't be repaired; the engineer knew within 30 seconds that it couldn't be. But the person at the head office booking the appointments and reviewing the pictures and description was confident it could be. Even after i challenged that assumption.Just a bit of honesty would have been appreciated here. There is no way the person booking the appointment thought that my sofa would be fixed, but they've seen someone with a problem and an opportunity to make some easy money.The moral of my story is, trust your gut with these people and don't expect any honest advice from them. The company said I'd be contacted the night before with a time slot for the mattress inspection. I've never received that slot and had to call on the day and wait 20 minutes on the phone with a crap message just to be told the inspector will come between 1:30 and 5pm but could come earlier if he's got cancellations . ... What kind of service is this? A time slot should be smaller than that and should be accurate. This is a rubbish customer service. Then the inspector finally came... Touched the mattress, took two or 2 measurements... Placed himself on the mattress and took pictures of his feet and his hands.... And then said the mattress passed all the tests... I bought two sofas and a foot stool from SCS, the footstool arrived on 1st December with a broken plastic foot. The guys delivering the furniture noticed it and reported back and I followed it up with a call to SCS. SCS informed me that the parts came through Emmiera and they would source them. The plastic foot cost pennies to make but neither SCS or Emmiera had any in stock, apparently they had no room to keep them although the foot is less than 2" x 2". I was informed that the foot would have to come from the manufactures abroad and it would take 13 weeks. I asked for the component to be sent directly to me as I could fit it myself in 2 minutes. Despite my request the part was sent to Emmiera and they arranged to get it couriered to me. In all it took nearly 17 weeks to get the job sorted. I tried to speak to Emmiera on 4 separate occasions and got no answer, I asked SCS to get Emmiera to call me but I didn't receive a call. I saved them the cost of sending out a Technician but got no thanks for it. More...

Had an issue with a new couch from Roseland (a gap in the back frame causing a loud squeaky noise). Contacted them and they arranged a repair visit through Emmiera. Billy and Saeed came out to my home in East/Central London and were excellent from start to finish. They arrived on time, were friendly, respectful, and very professional. Complaint Regarding Inspection Service – Barker and StonehouseI am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I recently received from your inspection team. I had clearly stated that any appointment should take place after 2:00pm, as my husband needed to be present due to my recent operation. Despite this, the inspector arrived at 13:37 and left by 13:41, as confirmed by my Ring doorbell. He claimed he had no information regarding my request for a post‑2:00pm appointment and refused to accommodate it.The inspector’s appearance was unprofessional, and his attitude throughout was extremely unpleasant. He asked me to strip the back of the bed, which I explained was precisely why I required my husband to be present – so that I would not have to strain myself. Despite my request for assistance, he simply stood and watched me struggle. He then unzipped the cover, turned the mattress, and laid on the incorrect side of the bed, which would not have revealed any issues. I pointed this out to him, yet he continued regardless.In total, he was in my home for four minutes and claimed to carry out a full inspection, which was clearly inadequate. When I asked for his name, he refused and told me to call the office instead. His dismissive and discourteous behaviour was completely unacceptable.I had expected far better service from Barker and Stonehouse. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and it is now clear why others have expressed similar dissatisfaction with your inspection process. I hope that this complaint will be taken seriously and that measures will be put in place to ensure no other customer is treated in this way.This letter will be sent directly to this company.I will never purchase anywhere that uses this company. Never change regardless of their name change. I wait in anticipation for their excuses.Just in reply to your response.Firstly you can wear a company uniform and look unprofessional. Don’t bother with this dealershipMade enquires about a 2026 Africa Twin a week or so ago, spoke to Matt salesman on phone. He informed me as soon as they have one in the showroom he will text me to come on over and have a look. I got a text this week saying a 2026 now in showroom.Today Saturday 07th March visited the dealership, Shrewsbury Honda. It was very quiet with very few customers, Infact I was the only one in showroom. No surprise like most dealers I was ignored and left to wonder about.I eventually approached a staff member (Matt) the same person that text me informing me there was a 2026 bike in the showroom to view and to come over and look.A lovely Africa Twin was indeed in the showroom with a Sold sign on.I asked Matt if I could sit on the bike. I got a flat and abrupt NO. He said the bike is now sold and no one is allowed to sit on bike. He still refused despite me wanting to buy an Africa Twin there and then.I told Matt I had made a 50 mile trip to see this bike. He still refused. Also a colleague was looking and listening with absolute contempt for me.I found the staff cold and unhelpful.I do not buy it that you simply cannot sit on a bike that you are paying 19k for and they cannot supervise a simple act. Prior to me dozens of people would have sat on this bike. One more would make any difference. Good salesman will always find a solution.What a waste of a 100 mile round trip. Matt was quick enough to text me that the bike was in the showroom. You should have been as quick to text me and let me know it was sold instead of wasting my day coming to your awful dealership.To top things off the toilets smelled and was dirty.Is it any wonder the bike industry is on its knees in this country with dealers closing weekly.I told Matt he has lost my business and I will go to Honda Tamworth. This company has given an appalling service and tried to rip my elderly mother off. I contacted them and told them the chair needed a replacement remote control which I sent them the details of. They insisted that we had to pay £84 for an engineer to come and evaluate the problem. He came, looked at the remote and confirmed it needed replacing (It just unplugs from the end of the cable). Had an issue with a unit from Oak furniture land & a technician was sent to resolve the issue. On his arrival he took his shoes off which my wife thanked him for as we have just had expensive carpets fitted. He looked at the issue & told my wife he could sort it. He then went to go to his van put his shoes on in the house & trampled mud all over the carpet his comment was it will come off. He came in with some spray & sprayed the top of the unit, the smell was breath taking. He said it was done. I looked & it wasn’t any better than before he had done anything. He said that’s how it is & that’s what you get with real wood. We have 3 other pieces of the same range & they are perfect.
