The KDS is an organisation committed to practicing and teaching Karate-do as taught by Master Mitsusuke Harada and the style is open to anyone with a genuine interest in learning karate. Clubs are located up and down the country, not all accept children.

Really supportive and friendly club. I have trained over the years at a few clubs in two styles and I can honestly say this is the best club l've been to and hopefully will train at for many years .

It’s been a great experience dealing with philippe and the local guys at KDS. My trail lesson was brilliant and not what I expected and really enjoyed it, so I decided to join the club.

Completely seamless process, filled out a form and within a couple of hours I was in touch with the team and a few hours later I was at a taster session. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. It has been a very good experience, I love the class and have been attending weekly classes for a few month now.
The instructors are lovely and I have made some great new friends.
The summer schools they hold are very fun!
Overall it has been one of the best decisions signing up with KDS!

I joined KDS Herts (Stevenage) just over one month ago after being encouraged by my wife who had been a member for three months. I felt a bit apprehensive about being a beginner, but everyone has been so welcoming and friendly. The tutors are excellent and very patient and higher grades are always happy to give friendly advice. My job is very stressful, and I have found that the day after training my stress levels have drastically dropped. I also incorporate the cardio aspect of the training in to my weekly workout routine. The other aspect of the club is that there are great social events and plenty of courses to go on. I would recommend that anyone wanting to try Karate, to take up the offer of the first free lesson as I am sure they will be very impressed. More...

What do you love most about your job?
Passing on the knowledge gathered through many years of practise and seeing others improve and develop their karate is very rewarding.
What inspired you to start your own business?
This isn't actually a business! We are a not for profit club - our Instructors pass on their knowledge because they love it. You'll find rates very reasonable
Why should our clients choose you?
Our roots go back to the spirit of karate as taught by Gichin Funakoshi.

There are video's available, but the real experience is at a class!
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Thankfully no longer relevant! Should it be, we will revert to outdoor training.
