We put out a request for our VW Transporter to be converted by a carpenter and Michael got in contact. We used Michael to repair and replace some floorboards and to create new bullnoses from reclaimed timber for the treads on a flight of stairs.
He got back to me very fast after we posted the job on Bark, came round the same day to quote and started working a couple of days later. Michael worked incredibly hard and went above and beyond as, inevitably, there were unforeseen problems that he had to deal with as the project progressed. Michael did two main jobs for me: installing a custom-built bike/tool shed between three existing walls; hanging an interior front door (this was an ad hoc job we requested after the first day given that we liked how he had fit the tool shed); and creating three shelves in the closet under the stairs. He priced everything more than reasonably, worked to a high standard and was very flexible, fitting in the ad-hoc work between his other jobs, and understood what I was after. Michael did 3 pieces of work at my home in February 2021 all to a high standard. These were custom sized bifolding hard wood and glass doors between the hall and lounge, shaker style cabinets and shelves in the lounge alcoves and understairs pull out storage cupboards. Michael did a fantastic job. I wanted to create wood panelling as a feature on the walls in my study. I had very specific ideas with regards to design and Michael discussed my requirements and talked me through all the possibilities and what would work best.

Michael talked me through every step of the process of what he was going to do and guided me through the project step by step, he also discussed with me the best choice of materials.

Michael has built us 2 alcove shelving units, 2 built in bedroom wardrobes and a wall. The quality of the workmanship is excellent and he has great attention to detail.
