We had our wedding at Lusty Glaze Beach at the beginning of June, and we would definitely recommend Andy! He was amazing! We both had never had a photo shoot or anything like this before, and he was great at guiding us though our special day ! All of our family said the same too as he snapped us all throughout the day. Andy is very professional, but also makes you feel very relaxed too. From the first conversation we had with Andy when we was looking in to photographers, he made time for a chat, and to discuss what was important to us both for our day. We are not local to Cornwall so our wedding day was the first time we met Andy. You could feel his passion for what he does from chatting and seeing his portfolio, so it made it an easy choice for us that Andy was right for us. Andy was the consummate professional and produced wonderful photos for us to cherish as a memory of our renewal of vows ceremony. He managed to integrate into our ceremony and festivities without being at all intrusive, whilst capturing some absolutely lovely shots of us, our friends and family. When looking for a photographer, it's hard to capture who is behind the lens from the photos they share. The picture may be perfect, but is the person shooting someone you want there on the day? If I could help put your mind at ease, Andy is the person you want there. Without a doubt. On the lead up, Andy was the quick to respond and took the time to read through our questions and answer them all practically and give his expertise and advice when needed. During the day he was sensational. We are not a photo positive family. None of us like having a picture taken. But Andy worked his magic and made us all feel relaxed in front of the camera. We decided on Andy for our wedding photography, after seeing his previous work from a friend's wedding. Before the big day he took time to find out as much as could for our intentions for the day. . so he could plan his actions. On the day.. for the most part, we barely knew he was there. When he wanted to get a particular shot he was clear and precise. He had some creative suggestions that we're really pleased with the outcomes of. We received our photos back via a link, to begin with, so we could start sharing with friends and family. We have also just taken delivery of our USB copy presented beautifully in a little wooden box with some prints. Andy was the perfect photographer in every way. We're both quite camera shy, so we were always going to be a bit nervous about our wedding day photos. But Andy was so great, he was calm, discrete, made us feel comfortable and had some lovely ideas for some creative shots that we would just not have thought of. He's not arrogant like some photographers I have met and made us relax completely. The result is perfect. He's managed to capture every element, and probably every guest too! There are plenty of natural and in-the moment photos, and so many surprise photos I didn't even know he was taking at the time! Andy is obviously passionate about what he does and it comes across in his work. we had Andy for our wedding. Feb 23 He was enthusiastic and gave plenty of direction when my rowdy rabble needed it. He was friendly and approachable whilst remaining professional. We cannot thank Andy enough for our Wedding photos. Knowing we were having a beachside wedding I spent quite a bit of time looking for a Cornwall based photographer who was used to beach shoots, I was really pleased to come across Andy and see some of his work through his gallery. We had a good chat about what we wanted, my partner is really not a fan of the camera so Andy made some great suggestions about how to make it that he was at ease as much as possible. On the day Andy was great, he made us feel so comfortable and was very friendly and easy to spend our special day with, he was even our witness as we had an elopement wedding! The following morning Andy sent through two pictures for us to share with our friends and family as way of announcing our wedding, we knew we couldn’t wait to see the rest. Andy is an absolute legend. We were both really nervous to be photographed, but Andy was so fun and really made us feel at ease. He was great shooting the day; he blended in, was really unobtrusive and was so professional. Just what you need if you’re a bit camera-shy! His style is honestly one of the best wedding shooting styles we’ve ever seen. Andy shot our wedding on 2nd June 2022 and did a fantastic job! We are a very relaxed, untraditional couple and we wanted a similarly minded photographer for our day and Andy was the perfect match. During the ceremony and reception drinks we barely noticed him moving around and capturing the candid shots we wanted. On the occasions when we were interacting with him it felt like we were simply hanging out with a friend. This resulted in beautifully natural photos of us and our guests during our ceremony, reception drinks, hotel grounds and down on the beach. We even managed to get all of our guests paddling in the sea (yes in my wedding dress 😁). I was hoping to have just a few nice shots from the day, but there are just so many fabulous photos of us and our guests enjoying ourselves its so hard to pick favourites, and there isnt a single photo I don't like! Andy's style is a mix of taking shots we didn't see him take, some specific shots that he suggested of key areas in the scenery around us, ones we requested (family groups etc) and he was also more than happy to allow us to mess about and suggest some shots (on each others backs, jumping in the sea etc). It all felt really relaxed and natural and you can see that shining through the pictures. I'm not sure how he worked his magic, but he did!
