This was the 3rd time I'd seen them perform live (they also performed at my sister's wedding and my parents' silver wedding anniversary), so we knew just how good they would be and they didn't disappoint! Ross was on top of every single little detail in advance of our day, and then Ben was excellent as lead on the day itself - including being super flexible to tweak the length of the 1st sets when the caterer brought out evening food 5 minutes early. Milo Max played at our wedding in Sept 2023 and absolutely smashed it! On the run up to the event, Ross was superb. Answering any queries we had very promptly. He also liaised with our venue to ensure everything was arranged for the day. Their playlist was perfect and managed to get all of our friends, young and old, boogying on the dance floor (at the same time). Everyone loved the fact we had a saxophonist, and also Julie, who was on vocals and was simply incredible! They brought the party! My wife loved that they offered for her and her bridesmaids to go up and sing a Mamma Mia song together (Luckily Julie did most of the singing!) From my first contact with Ross from Milo Max it was clear that the band and their organisation was experienced and professional. All communication was clear and responsive and Ross was happy to discuss and advise on what would work best for our wedding evening party. We had an acoustic trio who were perfect for our venue size and played marvellous music which just hit the spot with our guests. The dance floor was never empty and the band was full of energy and clearly enjoyed performing. This is the 3rd time I have booked Milo Max! the first two times were to perform at our office Xmas parties of over 500 guests each time, this time however it was to have them at my own wedding, and they did not disappoint. What do you love most about your job?
It's hard work surviving in the music industry but we are compensated by dedicating our working life to our passion. However, it's not just performing the music that makes us happy: it's working with our clients to understand their requirements and live music wishes for their event, creating a bespoke musical experience for them and seeing it through to a great night that makes us ultimately fulfilled. The is really the big difference between amateur performers and professionals. We strive to do the very best job and to make our clients vision of a great event with fabulous live music and a filled dance floor come true - happy clients, great feedback and referrals make us ultimately the happiest.
What inspired you to start your own business?
It's often the best to follow your passion. It's the creative control. I also enjoy the flexibility & diversity of working with clients directly and representing my own service. I get to hand-pick my team and from our a decade of reviews on our website I hope my passion & dedication to our clients satisfaction is clear to all.
Why should our clients choose you?
There are so many reasons. The market for live music is so diverse and the reality is that 95% of the market is comprised of amateur musicians, this includes most of the musicians on agent websites.
I have developed a professional live music service through Milo Max that represents a decade of hard work. We have done over 1400 shows across all types of events including two shows for Walt Disney in 2016, the later in the France. You wouldn't ask a lay person to check your teeth, you would go to a dentist. It's the same in any industry. Hiring Milo Max means hiring professional who really know what they are doing. The ability to understand and consult on your requirement and dreams, create & deliver a great live music experience, from preparation before the day, to delivery. This includes high spec equipment, top flight performers who know how to trouble shoot technical & interpersonal issues as well as adapt their performance on the fly to ensure you have the optimum experience.
