What do you love most about your job?

I love that every day is different, every client is different which inevitably means that every event is different, therefore we always have to be at our best. Working in events is hard work but it is also amazing fun, we get to meet and work with exceptional people, so it is important that we pass that on and our clients have the opportunity to enjoy the planning journey almost as much as their event. And when they do, this makes it all worthwhile,

What inspired you to start your own business?

The idea of starting Pebblefish was really about providing a portfolio of services which made us accessible to a wide range of customers, especially those who had never really thought about working with an event planner before either because they'd assumed it would be too expensive or that a planner may take over....we don't, I promise.
I've been involved in events for almost 15 years and felt there was more I could offer clients other than the full planning service, which as an industry we are most associated with. If people want to plan their own events I am fully on board with that and happy to help them get started and be a source of support throughout that planning experience. Also just as happy to help out in the final weeks, as event dates approach. Of course we are still there for the clients who do need that full planning option, it is still massively popular, but having that flexibility I feel, is important.

We are massively passionate about providing the highest level of customer service, ensuring a planning experience which our clients can enjoy whilst at the same time feeling that they and their event are in safe hands.

It is of course possible to work remotely, in fact it is often easier as with less travel, we can make ourselves available any time our customers need us.
We work with clients throughout the UK, as well as globally, so having meetings online has always been a big part of our working day. So, make yourself a cuppa, pull up a chair, get comfy and let's have a chat.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

All of our client, supplier and venue meetings currently take place online.
Any events taking place are done so fully in line with government regulations. We work much closer with guests to ensure everyone attending an event e.g. a wedding, completely understand the rules which will be in place at each venue before turning up, ensuring that they can focus on safely enjoying the day.
