What do you love most about your job?

There is not one thing that I can choose as it is not just a job for me; it is a passion. Flowers never cease to amaze me; the way they can change the feel and mood of a whole room and how they can be so versatile. However one of the most enjoyable parts of my job is my customers; meeting them and getting a feel for what they want and being able to play a role in ensuring that their big day is everything that they dreamed of and more.

What inspired you to start your own business?

We are a family run business; even right at the beginning before I had had any training, it was my Nan who originally taught me about flowers. Being a naturally creative person, it was something I took to straight away and after doing a few events for friends, we decided to set up on our own and The Flower Room Tiptree was born.

Why should our clients choose you?

A wedding is one of the most important days of your life; one that you will still be looking back on in years to come. To me this is not just a job, it is a responsibility to ensure that I am not only fulfilling, but exceeding the expectations of my customers. I put everything I have into what I do to ensure that my customers are getting exactly what they want. This is my passion and I project this in every piece of work that I do.

The average couple spends around £1,000 on wedding flowers. However, many couples spend less whilst others spend more. Whatever your budget, there will be plenty of options available to you. It’s best to contact your preferred florist for a quote as early as possible to talk through the options available for your budget and to secure your date.

If you’re looking to save money on your wedding flowers, there are a few options to choose from. Sunflowers and tulips are ideal options for spring and summer weddings, keeping costs to a minimum whilst still looking great. If you’re having a winter wedding, opt for lillies or chrysanthemums for a burst of colour on a budget.

It’s never too early to book your wedding flowers, especially if you’re hoping to book a specific florist. You should book your wedding flowers at least six months in advance, but for the best chance of securing your favourite florist, you should contact them as soon as you’ve set a date. You’ll then be able to finalise the plans for your flowers closer to your wedding day.
