I just love music, singing and performing, so there's not much I DON'T love, but if i had to choose one thing, it would be the amazing feeling I get when a student has a breakthrough, be it confidence, range extension or a first performance! I've been a self employed singer for about 16 years and still love to perform but the arrival of twins stopped me from gigging as much, as i wanted to be at home with them. Teaching seemed like the obvious answer as I can use my years of performance experience to inspire and help others grow as singers and still perform semi-regularly around my teaching schedule, it's the perfect balance!
For teaching, I am patient and have a knack for making my students comfortable around me, my love of singing is infectious and I have a gentle but firm approach to my teaching method.
For the performer in me, I have a vast repertoire, great stage presence and powerful voice (that remains sympathetic to the music) and love to make a song my own. My repertoire spans 80 years and covers pop, rock, funk, soul, disco, jazz, blues, country and mudicsl theatre. I have full public liability insurance and PAT tested equipment and am the perfect choice for any event, from wedding breakfasts/evening entertainment to parties, corporate events, holiday camps or lounge/cabaret.
