Can you replace a roof yourself?
It’s always recommended to hire a professional roofer to repair or replace a roof. Repairing a roof involves working at height which can be extremely dangerous if you aren’t professionally trained and without the right safety equipment. Roofs are also delicate, meaning that they can be easily damaged during a DIY repair. This could lead to further costs later down the line.
Does home insurance cover a leaking roof?
In the majority of cases, a leaking roof will not be covered by home insurance.
