What do you love most about your job?

I love the initial thought process and strategic development of working with a new company. That means really getting under the skin and understanding what makes your company tick. Where you are placed in the market. Who your customers are. What you really stand for.
All of this is blended into a marketing strategy and plan tailored specifically for you. The icing on the cake is seeing the plan delivered and the results come in.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I'd worked at a senior level in PR & Marketing companies, ending up as a MD of a firm in the South West. Then it was time to stretch my entrepreneurial wings and see exactly what I was made of. That was 10 years ago. I've loved working with companies of all sizes and stages of development - from brand new business, to those struggling to make a shift and grow their business, through to established brands who want to increase their reputation.
I work with a hand-picked and highly talented team of associates, who support me on delivering projects.

There are many people who can do marketing. There are many experts in different sectors all telling you that you need what they do. That's why it's so confusing, I operate differently.
I work to find out what you really need. What I bring is a real understanding of business strategy combined with senior level marketing expertise. I'm not there to sell you what I do. I'm there to understand what it is you need, put together a plan and then work out how best to deliver it - that might be using my services, other specialists or indeed employing someone internally.
For example, one of my clients thought that they should be appearing in the press. That's what their sales team had told them. That's why I was brought in. But it wasn't what they needed. They had a good base of clients but they weren't marketing themselves effectively to current clients. And we know that it's 70% easier to upsell to an existing client than it is to find new customers.
That's just one story to illustrate my point.
