Kewen School of Music I am the owner of a successful music school in Blyth where myself and other tutors offer tuition for guitar, bass, piano/keyboard, drums, singing, ukulele, saxophone, oboe, violin/viola, harp, banjo, mandolin, cello and more. We offer 1-2-1 sessions as well as group workshop activities. We cater for all ages and are open 7 days a week. We host student concerts a couple of times a year as well as other things within the community. Please get in touch if you would like to book up a slot. Half an hour and 1 hour slots available. Block booking discounts also available. 2. Kewen (Acoustic Singer) Supplying my own PA system and lighting, I can easily make your event special with either soft background music or upbeat sing along classics. Playing acoustic guitar with the occasional use of harmonica, I cover a range of material across all genres from 1950s - now. I always cater my set to the event however, artists I cover include the likes of Elvis, The Beatles, Neil Diamond to George Michael, Bryan Adams, The Clash to George Ezra, Ed Sheeran, Oasis, The Sugababes & many more! I always try to encourage crowd participation and love seeing the audience having a good time. I charge £60 per half an hour of singing with some travel costs for further distances. Please note that prices are higher if travelling to a private address or booking me on keys dates of the year. Please find me on Youtube under 'Kewen'. Amongst my original music, you will find my covers that are appropriate for a private event. I can also offer a DJing service with singing if you would like this before, in-between and after sets. Please enquire for more information on these. All services come with public liability insurance. 3. Kewen Events & Entertainment I have also recently started offering LED Numbers/Letters (0-9, LOVE & MR & MRS only) starting from only £50! For our music school, we like to think that we're bringing a very unique style of teaching to the area of Blyth. We have a young but also experienced team and create a friendly environment that both kids and adults can feel comfortable learning in and have the option to showcase their talents in our shows which is always highly encouraged. We LOVE what we do.
If a child cannot make their music lesson due to illness or for any other reason then we always have the option to carry them out online however most of our teaching takes place at our premises in Blyth.
We have soap next to all our sinks in the premises and hand sanitiser in our main seating area. Students are not encouraged to come to a lesson if they are feeling unwell unless they really wish to and if a tutor has to cancel then we can reschedule the lesson at a different point.
