Had my first appointment with Jamie today and totally changed my perception on my dogs behaviour. I have a big powerful American bulldog however Jamie is experienced and knowledgeable of how to engage with this. Definitely worth the money. Jamie would also like updates on progress via pictures and videos if I am happy to share them - which I am and think that’s encouraging and not just about the money! I highly recommend haley to train your dog... I have two dogs, one who is 3 years old and one who is 6 months old so it is a handful. Hailey came over and we talked about how things can be changed to suit both me and the dogs. Haley came back every Sunday morning and spent time with both dogs and taught me alot on how to handle them. They are now more obedient and calm, and we are enjoying having them more. We first came across Cam for some puppy classes that were being run at Victoria Park. We found him super approachable, kind and very knowledgable. You can tell that he loves what he does! We then decided to reach out again to him when our puppy was 9 months old to get some help with lead pulling, bolting up stairs and other little challenges. Our pup immediately recognised Can (which surprised us as it had been months since she had seen him!) and she was very receptive to him straight away. He asked questions about our experiences and how he can help; provided some guidance and feedback on what / how we can do better to get the desired behaviour. We really liked Can's approach - he's realistic about expectations of dogs and also very person centred in his approach. We noticed changes in our pup's behaviour straight away and have continued to do so (she no longer bolts up the stairs yay!). Can followed up the session with lots of resources online and the offer to help out with anything in the future which is so reassuring. Being able to teach owners on how to better handle and manage their dogs so they can have as much freedom and be included as possible.
While growing up I'd always enjoyed training my family's German Shepherds. We rehomed a male working-line German Shepherd with aggression issues when I was 21, which was a baptism by fire on how to work with and manage such dogs. Once I had him in a good place, people from my local area who were impressed with his transformation began asking for my help. After helping people with their dogs with similar behavioural issues as a side hustle for a couple of years and seeing the amount that needed help, I decided to commit and train dogs and their owners full time in March 2019.
Large working breeds are where my passion and experience peak. German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois', Rottweilers, Giant Schauzers and dogs of similar ilk are my bread and butter, and handling the typical behavioural issues such dogs go through are what I'm best at. I do also have ample exprience with your more typical pet breeds which is evident in my French Bulldog Biggie.
