My wedding was at a location in the desert outside Marrakech, in Morocco which had no electricity; only fires and candlelight, which therefore required a photographer who could master such a situation. Jeff certainly fitted the bill. The best thing about Jeff was that he quickly understood the style of photography we wanted: Natural, unusual, spontaneous and capturing the beauty of the desert and surroundings as well as all the people present, a world away from the traditional style of wedding photography. I warned Jeff that he'd be sleeping in the desert, we'd arrive at the ceremony on camelback at sunset and half the guests spoke only Arabic. Oh - and the location had no electricity. But Jeff was undeterred.Jeff mentioned that flash would not be suitable for the style of photography and instead he brought with him a special lighting system with him which cast soft light that was just strong enough to take pictures without ruining the candlelit atmosphere. Jeff was always in the right place at the right time, even ensuring we got specific shots that we wanted, for example, the camels in silhouette at sunset. As for the finished photographs? They are absolutely dazzling. Each image different and more creative than the one before. He really captured the most of the location, surroundings and the atmospheric situation, and caught all the right moments and expressions. Everyone who has seen the photographs has said we have the best wedding pictures they have ever seen. If you want your wedding photos to be different, then I can't recommend Jeff high enough.
