Me personally (I'm Dave, the photographer) I've loved taking pictures all my life but spent 25 years as a radio broadcaster. Only when I turned professional, 20 years ago, did I realise the thrill of seeing people brought to tears when they see how beautiful they look in pictures and that is what drew me in to the art of Boudoir Photography. Jayne, my partner, is the stylist and had a long career as a dancer, including Moulin Rouge in Paris and it was a natural progression for her to work alongside me in directing our Boudoir Clients.
Boudoir Photography is a very specific art-form. Choose incorrectly and any insecurities you may have about yourself could be amplified and if your experience is a negative one then even the cheapest, budget boudoir experience will seem extremely expensive. However, choose the right Boudoir experience will erase your negativity you may have about yourself and you will learn to love the person you see in the mirror. You will feel empowered and liberated in a way you've not felt in a long time. For this reason, a good boudoir experience will be worth the investment because you're worth it.
Best way to choose the Boudoir Experience that's right for you is 1. Love the pictures, 2. read the reviews, 3. Meet or at least talk to the photographer to find out how comfortable you feel with them.
What we do is very client centric so it's all about building a rapport and obviously we need to be together for the photographic experience (Not to mention the hair and makeup and shoot styling. That's the fun part after all)
Viewings are done 2 weeks later and you then choose your favourites from the shoot. (Some studios show unedited pictures straight after the shoot, we take a little more time to make sure everything looks great. More like Michelin quality than McDonalds)
