I could not recommend Phil enough, we have just received our wedding photos and are over the moon - they are stunning.

Neither of us are very comfortable in front of the camera and were concerned that would be the most awkward part of the wedding. But Phil’s easy going, candid style approach was absolutely perfect. We didn’t even realise half of his absolutely beautiful pictures were taken. He also seemed to glean that really we were much more interested in pictures capturing the day, guests and our son rather than pictures of us.

With pretty much zero input from us Phil managed to capture exactly what we wanted and also things we wouldn’t have even thought to consider.

We hired Phil for an engagement photoshoot and for our wedding day and we are thrilled with the results!

He was a very nice person to work with, he's flexible and has calm manner. We felt very relaxed whilst he was taking photos and so did our guests. On our wedding day we barely even noticed he was there!

We received a preview of our wedding photos within a couple weeks and the full set under two months later. Phil captured everything we had asked for, lots of candid photos of the day as well as formal photographs with family.

Phil photographed my wedding in December. He was absolutely incredible and went above and beyond anything we could have expected.

Pricing - He is incredibly reasonable for the talents he has, I found him on Bark and he had great reviews, he didn't disappoint.

On the day - Everyone after the wedding kept commenting how great he was- people kept saying they had no idea he had been there to capture the shots he got. My husband and I were gobsmacked at all the pictures in the church, he had been up on the mezzanine, every angle of the aisle, behind the priest, with the musicians and got all the key moments. You could think there was a team of 5 and no one even saw him go!

Time taken - Phil gets the shot very quickly. I had expressed to him that we don't like standing around for pictures, don't want long shoots and hate being rearranged for ages. He took this completely on board and our couples shots were beautiful and only took about 10 mins!

Discretion - We had a few of those guests with "opinions" and their own cameras who wanted to get their shots in. Phil is very diplomatic and knows how to manage this!

Style of photography - Gorgeous, we love our photos and will treasure them for ever! They are timeless and he got all the tiny details of the wedding that I had put a lot of effort into but hadn't even asked him to photograph. Perfect mix of people and emotions and the decoration and architecture.

Communication - Great communication before and on the day, via WhatsApp

Flexibility - One of my favourite things about Phil is that he is NO STRESS. I was pretty chaotic on the day and a lot of the plans we had went out the window. He just goes with the flow and gets on with whatever he can do in the moment. He didn't pressure me to hurry up and get into my dress because we needed to get certain shots, he just let us do our thing and was there to document.

We weren’t even sure if we wanted a photographer for our wedding to begin with but ended up deciding we did and are so glad that we chose Phil! His communication and planning for our wedding was brilliant. We gave him a very clear brief that we didn’t want any posed photos.

The results were way more than we could have hoped for. Beautiful photos that really captured the sense of the day and the personalities of our guests. He was courteous and incredibly skilled at what a good wedding photographer should be able to do: capture the special moments without being too obvious. We found Phil here on Bark and decided to hire him for our wedding on the strength of his previous work. Communication was clear throughout, with Phil making helpful suggestions prior to the wedding day so we could get the best from his time. On the day he was punctual, polite to everyone and constantly looking for the best angles and shots. There’s always a fear because we didn’t know if what he was shooting was any good! However, when he sent a preview gallery of some of the photos shortly after the wedding, we knew we’d made a good choice. The pictures are fantastic! He really captured the day beautifully. Phil did a brilliant job with our photos, sent more than what was discussed and edited them exactly the way we asked him to.

There was a train strike on the day but nothing was too much trouble for him, found a way to get to our venue.

Phil is easy to talk to, creative, kind and all our guests complimented on how he was everywhere to ensure all the main moments were documented. He took natural portray photos, couple photos and was with us for 10 hours!
