I was looking for a company to renew the floor insulation in my Apex loft area and install room-in-roof insulation in a lower void. After numerous failed attempts, I found Underfloor Insulation Glasgow Ltd and I must say that they were a joy to deal with. All of the staff, from office administrator Paula, Chris who came out to survey the job and Paul who carried out the installation, were first class.Their written quote was fully laid out, costed and sent out on Company notepaper in a professional manner. Seen an instagram add for the company which I’d usually ignore but I’m glad I didn’t. The team reached out to me and organised a day for someone to come out when inspection our loft within a few days. They got back to us with a quote the same day. Any questions the girls and guys over the phone were amazing to speak with, answered all our questions and got back to us straight away. We we went ahead with our quote and the team came out, cleared out our old bagged insulation, added new installation ontop of our current installation to bring it up to industry standard and boarded a portion of our loft beside the hatch which now gives us space to for storage. We looked at a couple of companies for under floor insulation for our 1910 house and we went with Underfloor Insulation Glasgow after being impressed with their knowledge, our options and guidance on what had to be considered for a property of the age of ours. Karl was fantastic during our survey and we were happy to go with the quote provided. We had the team out for 2 days last week who were also brilliant. Called around different companies and ended up going ahead with this one, the price was on the lower end and overall we got a whole new storage space in a derelict loft. Floors were raised over the previous insulation, brand new ladder and shelving was included. They pushed outwards as far as they can go to provide as much space as possible and we couldn't be happier with the result. Great business, just a little over a week between the survey and getting the work done. We recently moved house and were miserably cold between an uninsulated patch of the roof and an uninsulated suspended floor, just 5 hours of work or so and we are sorted for the cold months! I gave it 5 stars but with some caveats. Positives: - excellent communication - I've been phoned almost instantly after submitting on-line form, Chris found out that there is no enough room in my underfloor so the work would have to involve removing existing subfloor. Subsequently I was provided with a quote and Steven answered my additional questions. The dates available were given and I selected the nearest available. - punctuality - guys arrived around the time given me in the e-mail. - quality of work - I'm not an expert but it looked like I had PIR blocks tightly installed between joists and any gaps were filled with some foam, then on top everything was sealed with some silver tape. Old subfloor boards were replaced with better quality ones. - I didn't capture the names of the guys who actually did the job (my bad), but they were super friendly and explained all the steps anytime I looked at their work. Caveats: - probably the biggest potential problem was that I was told the work would take 2 days but it has taken 2 and a half days. There was no problem in my case as I didn't have any other plans. - as some of the skirting boards had to be temporarily removed - they require repainting, filing the gaps, etc. - some minor tidying up required. - also there were some minor marks on the walls, also not a big deal. I thought I'd just highlight this for people who plan on doing it from above. It's very unlikely that it will be spotless (I'm sure the guys were very careful). More...

5 stars from start to finish, for doing our underfloor and loft insulation. I started looking for an insulation installer to fix some drafts from our underfloor. I contacted UIG based on their great reviews, and they lived up to their reputation. After I filled in their web form, they quickly contacted me and arranged a surveyor to come round. Chris reviewed everything, and answered all my questions. We then received a decent quote, with options for better insulation. Have considered underfloor insulation for quite a while but didn’t know it was possible with the limited space beneath the floor. Had two surveys done, both of which said it was very restricted but possible. We chose Underfloor Insulation Glasgow because the chap who surveyed it was personable and knowledgable and explained exactly how thy would execute the work in a straightforward and amiable way. Also their quote was the best. Around 3 weeks later Darren and Kelvin arrived to install. Really nice guys and talked us through the job with a friendly and amiable demeanour.Even in such a restrictive area they carried out the work without complaint and finished the job in 1 1/2 days! Delighted with the service received from this company. Initial survey carried out professionally and quotation received from head office almost immediately. Installation of the underfloor insulation carried out a few days later. Site operatives carried out work efficiently, respectful of the property and courteously, keeping me informed of progress. Upon completion, although we offered to do so, the operatives vacuumed and cleaned all areas affected by their presence. Very professional job. Loft survey and quote carried out and provided quickly. Good advice given on what was needed. Minimal disruption during the work. Installers carried out the work under very difficult conditions during the heatwave where the temperatures were above 30 degrees in the loft space. They deserve a medal for that. I had the original insulation removed and replaced and had a section of the loft space floored. Just put things back and the flooring made all the difference to both access and storage potential.
