Anna tutored my son for just over a year, supporting him mainly with his reading and English, and occasionally with maths. I honestly couldn’t recommend her more highly.

She was always punctual, reliable and someone we completely trusted. From the very beginning, she built a fantastic relationship with my son, and he genuinely looked forward to his sessions with her.

Anna has a real talent for explaining things in a way that children understand. She breaks learning down into manageable steps, making even the more challenging topics feel achievable. I saw my son’s confidence grow as a result of her support.

What I appreciated most was the balance she struck between being warm and approachable while also maintaining clear boundaries. My son can sometimes get distracted or want to chat rather than focus on the task at hand, but Anna was brilliant at gently bringing him back on track without making the sessions feel pressured. She was kind but firm, and that combination worked incredibly well.

The only reason we stopped working with Anna was because I was made redundant and couldn’t continue to commit to the tutoring fees at the time. Had our circumstances been different, we would have happily continued.

My child has been having maths tuition with Anna for a year now. She has made excellent progress which is evident from her school reports. My daughter’s confidence has grown immensely in maths, so much so she actively wants to be asked mathematical questions which is amazing compared to where we were previously. We are always provided with regular updates on what has been covered and the progress made. We feel very lucky to have found Anna. She has been an incredible support for our son while preparing for his SATs and 11+ exams, and we have seen such a positive difference in both his ability and confidence.

One thing we really appreciated was how well Anna communicated with us throughout. She always kept us informed about what they had been working on, how he was progressing, and any areas that needed extra focus. As parents, this was so reassuring and helped us feel involved in the process.

Most importantly, our son genuinely enjoyed his sessions with Anna. She built a great relationship with him from the start, making him feel comfortable, supported and motivated to learn. He always came away from lessons feeling positive and proud of what he had achieved.

Anna has been incredible for Lillie given her the confidence she needed to believe in herself, her SATs results were a direct correlation of that. Anna makes the lessons fun and enjoyable, ensuring that various elements of the curriculum are covered. Whilst this tuition was originally to boost confidence, which it has, Lillie sees the benefits of the weekly lessons and has asked to continue this study into secondary school - she is curious to learn which is something I saw in her for maths but never English until now. Anna was easy to talk to and had good communication with myself and Kayden.

Anna took the information provided from the school report and created lessons to suit his needs.

At the start of the year Kayden was under the expected level. He struggled in all areas in English especially with his handwriting. In Maths he struggled in a few areas, one of them being fractions. Kayden now feels very confident doing fraction work and quite enjoys it. Thanks to Anna.
