Brilliant work from Sam. Put an enquiry on a quotes website early on a Friday morning, as the weather for the rest of the day and night was rubbish. He was on it straightaway and was a pleasure to deal with: ringing me outlining the details of what he could offer; driving down to rural Essex soon after (sorry about the traffic Sam); updating me RE: collection and drop-off; really quick to put up the Capri marquee and generally very chatty and friendly. The company’s marquees save and enhance any rainy parties and create a good atmosphere. The Capri is probably one of their most simple/cheap options but it’s so effective and had sides that you could remove if you wanted to. We hired the Capri marquees from The Main Event to protect our guests from the sunshine, as our party was in the middle of August. It ended up that it was the wettest August on record, and our day was no exception! The marquees were a real attraction to all the guests, and we were inundated with comments about how good they looked on the lawn, and how much wind and rain they could withstand! I would happily hire them again, but perhaps this time plan the weather as carefully! More...

What do you love most about your job?
I love providing the day that every wants for their event by ensuring that the space they hire is best suited to their event needs.
We have a lot of experience having worked in the industry for 14 years and feel I have a lot to offer with our good quality products.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked for The Main event as a Teenager and while I put myself through University. I then had the opportunity to buy the company that I had had so much fun working for for 7 years. It was the perfect opportunity for me to do something outside and where I get to see my customers heading in to events that they have dreamed about for years and provide the day that they wanted. For me it was simply that I knew I could do a fantastic job and provide for my clients exactly what they needed with little fuss and worry.
