Speaking of Interiors Ltd

I worked with Johanna at Speaking of Interiors on a residential project covering three bedrooms and the living room, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. After an initial introductory meeting and a detailed discussion, Johanna advised that the best way forward to make the most of my particular project would be to work in stages. This approach allowed me to achieve much higher-quality finishes without overstretching my budget — something that would have been unavoidable if I’d tried to do everything at once.

I’m incredibly grateful for her honest advice and thoughtful guidance. Over the 10 months we worked together, Johanna truly elevated my vision. Her communication was excellent throughout, and she was a fantastic source of support when challenges arose with builders and other trades.

I would highly recommend Johanna to anyone looking for a designer who is not only talented, but also genuinely supportive and professional throughout the process. More...

A short google review would not do justice to how much I have appreciated and enjoyed working with Johanna but I will try! ! Johanna helped both with developing a beautiful design scheme that suited my style and determining the layout of the space available. She gave me lots of options for layout, bathroom fittings, materials, fabrics, furniture and so forth but it was never overwhelming as she really understood what I was after. When it came to execution Johanna went above and beyond, liaising with all suppliers and delivery companies (chasing some of them relentlessly!). When life was busy she understood and really helped me get the renovation over the line. The end result is very special and I look forward to working with Johanna again in the future. More...

My wife and I spoke to Johanna at Speaking Of Interiors to help us when we bought our first home together. It was unfurnished so we needed everything. .. from bedside lamps to bookshelves and a new bed!

I must say, the experience was absolutely brilliant. The list of suppliers and options presented to us was really useful, and she worked hard to help find us the right options based on the requirements and tastes she was able to gather from us.

She then managed to get everything to us super quick and we were delighted with the results! She's honestly wonderful - passionate, dedicated, and definitely someone who will "get to know you" in the process rather than some people who just throw ideas at you. More...

Johanna has been an invaluable resource to optimize the spaces of my 57sqm flat, with a beautiful and smart touch. I would have not been able to create such a cozy and elegant space without her guidance and taste. She recommended me great space solutions, furniture or decor pieces. She worked really well also with the builders who where doing the major refurbishment work. They all created an amazing masterpiece which is my home :). Johanna did an excellent job re-designing my newly bought flat. I was very impressed by how she managed to quickly pick up on what I liked and didn’t like and then began perfectly tailoring suggestions to my style. I also really appreciated her patience and the amount of times she went above and beyond to cater for additional requests or to keep looking for alternative options if something wasn’t quite right. Johanna was a real pleasure to work with. Our brief was not straight forward, my partner and I have very different styles, but Johanna skilfully blended them to give us a look we both love.

Our builders were a complete nightmare but Johanna was very understanding and supportive when delivery dates had to be pushed back and the project ran on many months more than we had initially expected.

Unlike many interior designers we discussed the project with, Johanna was very transparent with the trade discounts she gets and passes these on to clients which can substantially reduce the overall cost of her service which was already competitively priced.

We had no idea about the amount of work involved in a full renovation project and could never have done it without Johanna's vision, attention to detail and amazing coordination skills. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Speaking of Interiors to friends and family.

Whether we'd ever embark on another full renovation project... well that's another story. More...

Hiring an Interior Designer to help is an expense many people aren't truly considering will add an extra value. It seems like you can figure things out on your own, but do yourself a favor and please hire Speaking of Interiors. I tried doing it all on my own until I decided to give Johanna a chance. Johanna is a joy to work with - very creative yet very organised ( normally the two don’t go together) . She has a real eye for detail and a flair for putting colours together, creating space where it’s hard to imagine and she made my house look like a show home. I love the way it looks and she also managed all the traders involved to get a really great result.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and the fact is her fees are fair and she really takes care of everything.
I can’t wait to work with her again in the future. More...
