I posted my job on Bark. I was looking to get help with the planning permission process, to add a small porch to the front of my terraced house.
Jonathan responded, with a request for some details. From those details, he advised that I was very unlikely to receive planning permission, because my porch would impact the narrative of the rest of the street. He did this with no payment, simply professionalism.

What do you love most about your job?
The moment a planning application is approved and we know our clients are now free to carry out the work. The changes often have a huge impact on the enjoyment they get from their property. That can be very rewarding.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The opportunity for a more direct involvement in smaller projects rather than working in large teams on large projects which I did for a long time before starting out alone.
Why should our clients choose you?
I offer a very personal service, being a small studio, I will always be available if you have any queries and I alone will deal with your project so will always be able to keep you updated with any progress. We offer a very professional standard of service from the initial consultation right through to getting planning permission and due to our limited overheads we are able to offer very low prices . Most importantly we always remember that you are the client and we are working for you, we enjoy being able to advise and offer options but it's your project and our only aim is to ensure you get what you want rather than something we want you to do!

Yes, often just a few photos can be all we need to be able to carry out the work. If the client can provide them a site visit may not be needed.
