Serve Homecare have been looking after my gran for just over 2 years now, and honestly, they’ve been brilliant. The carers are always friendly, reliable, and genuinely care about what they do. I’ve worked with Serve Homecare for around 3 months and despite a few minor hiccups along the way, I am glad I decided to work here. As this is my first job in care, it’s fair to say I was apprehensive about starting, however I was made to feel part of the team relatively quickly. The majority of carers are incredibly good at what they do, showing me the ropes and providing valuable support when needed. As for the team in the office, I have been made to feel valued and empowered. Initially, I felt relatively on edge when contacting the office to voice my concerns. However, once I got to know each individual, that changed. All issues/concerns I’ve raised have been dealt with appropriately. My rota has been flexible enough to suit my schedule as a student physiotherapist and tailored to my preferences where possible. The office team trust their staff to make educated decisions about clients, empowering both client and carer. Overall, being able to facilitate the lives of others to make a positive difference on a daily basis makes this work extremely rewarding.
