Right at Home Calderdale

Right at Home have cared for my Dad from July 2025 until he recently entered a care home. The carers are excellent. Compassionate, engaging, helpful. They did everything they were supposed to do. The local manager several times went the extra mile. E.g. buying a fish and chip takeaway for himself and for Dad and sharing dinner together in Dad's dining room. Can’t thank calderdale right at home enough. In a time of need they were absolutely brilliant service from start to finish. Would highly recommend!

I couldn’t fault Right at Home. They are so supportive and everyone goes the extra mile. The people I have met genuinely care about their clients and their staff. A brief outline of my journey so far with these guys. My mum suffers with vascular dementia and trying to find the right care and knowing who to turn to has been an absolute nightmare for me to say the least. After years of managing things for mum I finally had to admit I couldn’t do this on my own as well as working full time and having my own family to look after too. After endless phone calls and so many dead ends a friend of mine recommended these guys. I emailed my enquiry and the response was instant. I set up a meeting with Gemma, Me and my mum within days. The meeting exceeded all my expectations and I knew straight away these were the ones I would put my trust in to look after mum. I can only do minimal visits at the minute as I am waiting on social services (surprise surprise) because mum is self funding. We all know care is expensive but to me you can’t put a price on trust. However I have to be realistic. Sadly money only goes so far. Once things have been sorted and fingers crossed mum will be entitled to funding mums visits will increase. Communications with Gemma have been second to none and I can finally feel a weight been lifted off my shoulders. I know mum is going to be in good hands because it’s clear this is not just a job, Gemma is truly passionate about she does and I’ve been left speechless (something that doesn’t often happen to me) at just how passionate she is.
