Recently ate here with family after a visit to the excellent cinema in the town (Toy Story 5). We all enjoyed our food selections, homemade soup, made on the premises fresh pasta dishes. . service was very good and pricing fair for the food quality and generous portion sizes…internal decor nicely done and even the background music was good. Definitely be going back to the Pink Salt Shed on our next visit to the town. More...

Hidden-away spot with lovely service and truly exceptional baked goods. Top-notch scones, flapjacks and lemon cake. Bonus: cool inside (at least compared to other venues!) during heatwave.

Had a really wonderful lunch time experience at the Pink Salt Shed. Not only were their staff warm, friendly and kind, they also made an absolutely divine sourdough & chicken sandwich with sun dried tomato pesto. I’ve been a few times & am going to continue to visit regularly as everything I’ve tried on the menu so far has been exquisite! More...

Scrumptious food. Absolutely made-to-order and in-house. As good a pastrami on sourdough as I’ve had in living memory. Would be a perfect pit-stop, if just a little more comfortable and with better acoustics.

I visited the Pink Salt Shed a couple of times in the day with my two girls to discover they do the best food in Chipping Norton. My birthday was coming up and I was delighted that they were accustomed to hosting evening do's. It was brilliant. A welcome cocktail on arrival (nicely strong), canapes, a tasty lasagna, followed by brownie and a cheese board. Not to mention table wine and control of the music. We all ended up having a boogie which is exactly what we needed after not seeing each other for a long time. I won't hesitate to book another evening with them again, and I'll certainly be back for a daytime brunch. Thanks again! More...

The weather was cold and wet, so we called in to the PSS. Given the very good reviews below, I think I must be missing something here; £32+ for 1 sandwich, 1 mini ciabatta, 1coffee and a pot of Earl Grey, is far too expensive. My husband had pastrami on sourdough - tasty enough, but for £12 and nothing else with it? I asked for broccoli soup, it having been pointed out on the specials’ board - but there was no broccoli! Instead, I opted for a warm ciabatta with salami and mozzarella. A mini ciabatta arrived, with 3 slices of salami, 2 slices of mozzarella and 3 slices of a half tomato - also £12 - also no garnish. Obviously, we had seen the prices, before ordering but, given the weather, we stayed. However, the offerings were meagre. FYI, we were in the hospitality trade for many years, and so know that the profit margin in the Pink Salt Shed must be pretty high. The place is also fairly run down, particularly the toilet area. We won’t be going back again. More...

It was a really nice space, lovely service, tasty brownies. The coffee was just not very nice - in this day and age I feel there is no reason to serve piping hot, weak, tasteless coffee - the baristas did not seemed trained in this respect.

Five stars doesn’t feel like enough. When we first met Kate from The Pink Salt Shed, we knew we were asking for something tricky: a full Sunday roast at a venue with no kitchen facilities. Where others had said a flat-out no, Kate said, “Let’s find a way.” From that moment on, we knew we were in safe hands. Communication throughout was excellent — Kate was thoughtful, responsive, and incredibly creative in finding solutions to the many logistical challenges. Other than knowing we wanted a roast, we hadn’t figured out much else, and Kate offered brilliant suggestions to shape the rest of the menu. On the day, everything ran like clockwork. The Pink Salt Shed team were immaculately presented, professional, and served each course with elegance and warmth. The canapés were a huge hit — beautifully made and eagerly devoured by our guests. And then came the roast… wow. Hot, crispy roast potatoes, perfectly cooked meat, all delivered with precision and care — in a space that had no kitchen. It was nothing short of miraculous. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, dessert arrived — just as delicious, and served with the same style and attention to detail. And to top it all off, Kate and the team laid on an incredible evening curry with all the accompaniments, which our guests raved about. Kate didn’t just provide the food — she handled staffing, sourced all the crockery, and ensured every table was laid exactly how we envisioned it. Her care and commitment went above and beyond. We honestly can’t recommend The Pink Salt Shed enough. Kate and her team didn’t just cater our wedding — they helped make the day unforgettable. Michael and Nathan Clay More...

I imagine that Pink Salt Shed is a little gem of a place on a good day. However, if you go over a busy time, don't expect to sit comfortably or get what you actually ordered. The toasted sandwiches don't even come with crisps or salad garnish, but you still pay the earth for it, as was my experience. I took a loyalty card, but I don't think I'll be returning. What a shame! More...

Popped in for breakfast whilst visiting the town. My husband and I both ordered the omelette and a flat white coffee and both were amazing. We had been in the Cotswolds for a few days and had coffee at a variety of coffee shops and we both agreed this was the best! We bought sausage rolls to take away and had them later in the day and we could tell the quality of ingredients used was of a high standard. Service was quick and friendly. More...

Such a disappointment. No one knew what was going on. Our order came in various stages or inaccuracies over an hour period. The sausage rolls that were promised to be 30mins still weren’t ready after an hour. It wasn’t very busy so there seemed no explanation to the chaotic way things were being run. No manager was there so when it came to refunding the sausage rolls no one knew what to do and no one could get hold of the manager by phone. It was a very disappointing way to spend a family reunion and I can only hope that it was an off day due to the other much better reviews on here More...

Such a shame! We visited this place when it first opened, spoke with the owner, and have popped in for the occasional coffee. Yesterday morning, we wanted to try breakfast here after seeing some updated seating. We turned up at 9:27am and the girl said “We’re not open yet, we open at 9:30am, could you come back then, as we haven’t unloaded the dishwasher yet…” Now, I’ve eaten at my fair share of restaurants, and if you have customers who are there THREE minutes “early” - you offer to make them a coffee and for them to grab a seat. We came back 3 minutes later, and then ordered a Sausage Patty, Bacon and Egg Toastie. We felt like waiting 15 minutes after for two toasties was a bit of a long wait. Just as we were about to enquire as to where our food was, another girl came over and said “sorry, we’re out of sausage patty, do you want to double up on bacon instead” - we just ended up going to bacon and egg…another 10 minutes passed and still no food. WE WERE THE ONLY PEOPLE IN THERE!!!! We ended up getting them to go, and eating at home. Such poor service, and the hours were only 9:30am - 11am, extremely limited. The food was OK, nothing to write home about. We’re gutted as we wanted to give this place regular business, but after yesterday’s audition, I would only go for coffee now. More...
